I am not sticking up for Jeff here; he and I have had numerous words before. However, I do think that maybe all of us might not actually be on the same page when we refer to "public sex."

 

When I referred to this subject in a prior posting, I was alluding more to "publicly accessible places" as opposed to sex "in public" (i.e., in front of people). In truth, I don't like to have sex when someone else is watching (but I sure love to watch others!!!!).

 

But once in awhile it is great fun to have sex some place "where you're not suppose to" like, for example, behind the bushes, in the car at the back of a deserted parking lot, or behind the dumpster at a strip mall. A friend of mine and I once snuck into the pool area of a Hilton Hotel in the middle of the night and fucked like animals in heat -- and it was a blast! All of these examples refer to "publicly accessible places" but are certainly "not in public."

 

So on the particular issue of what constitutes "public sex," I suspect that there might be more of us in agreement than we realize. But just on this particular issue. :-) Am I wrong?

Jeff, that is just the way you talk? Well, clean it up girl! I used to live next door in Indiana, and I assure you, no one used fag without it meaning to be derogatory. I don't use the word, and I don't know any gays that call their friends fags.

Remember also the context in which you used the word on this board in the first place. I don't think you meant it in a friendly way.

Having seen many posts by Jeff on many subjects I doubt very much that he has any desire, conscious or otherwise, to derogate gay men. I also note that like me he seems to follow the "no first strike" rule developed in the slightly broader context of nuclear deterrence: he is not the first to engage in personal attacks with any particular poster. Good for you, Jeff.

 

On the issue of public sex the comment in this thread that comes closest to my view is, oddly enough, one by Esc-Tracker, a poster who has engaged in personal attacks on me on one or two occasions. Nevertheless, I think he is right. No one of ANY sexual orientation should use public spaces in a way that makes it difficult or impossible for others to use them. That goes for certain swanky New York restaurants that have illegally appropriated what are supposed to be public spaces for their own private, profit-making operations, it goes for homeless people who create such a stench in certain public spaces that only someone with a clothespin on his nose could go near them, and it goes for gay and straight couples who behave in such a way that one can't avoid seeing what belongs in the bedroom other than by wearing a blindfold. Public spaces are for the public, so keep the private stuff at home, people!

Lucky...Once again you are misinterpreting my intended "tone" and

if we had been speaking face to face, you would have known how

"not serious" I was in my use of the remark. I don't care where

you have been living or under what rock. I hear FAG and QUEER

used quite often, maybe the gay men I hang out with don't wear

their "gay sensibilities" on their sleeves and aren't so easily

offended by a MERE WORD.

 

Even though I use the words HOOKER, PROSTITUTE and ESCORT

interchangebly...I do find the word WHORE somewhat offensive,

but you don't hear me carrying on like some child. "Sticks and

Stones may break my bones, but Words will never hurt me." Unless

I'm specifically referring to you as a FAG, which I wouldn't do,

I don't understand how you can be so OFFENDED. As I stated

earlier, we give words the power to offend by how we CHOOSE to

respond to them! I may not like to be called FAG as I'm walking

down the street by a passing carload of rednecks, but I'll yell

back at them, "Damn right I'm a FAG and I'm proud of it." Not

exactly the response they expect to hear, huh?

Well, back in the office again. Calderone, Pier and Roxy were big fun. This thread was really quite amusing, although I find myself just reading F cubed, Munroe and reg's posts. The other's didn't quite make it through the haze today, although Jizz's pics are usually a welcome break from the haranguing. Where was nycman on this? He, along with Munroe, are usually the only comic relief.

Two points.

 

First, as sex is one of my favorite hobbies, I regularly engage in sex in public places and encourage it in others.

 

Second, and more importantly, DickHo, regarding the guy in rentboy advertizing as Daniel (side shot with red shorts - face mostly hidden), the pic is 8 - 10 years and lots of Whoppers ago. Nice enough guy, not bad looking and not really fat, just don't expect the pic.
