1. Why is it that....the moment you, or the other guy, have reached the point of no return and are going to blow, the door opens and someone walks into the steamroom?

2. Why is it that....when you go to your locker from the shower, there are at least two people with lockers next to yours and barely no one else anywhere in the locker room?

3. Why is it that....when the guy who has been cruising you for the last 20 minutes on the gym floor starts to walk over to you, a friend of his comes running up and wants to chat with him - FOREVER?

4. Why is it that....when the guy who has been cruising you for the last 20 minutes on the gym floor starts to walk over to you, a friend of yours, who's a big queen, comes shrieking up to you and wants to tell you all about the FABULOUS weekend he had?

5. Why is it that....the moment that guy you've been waiting to see nude drops his underpants, someone with an ass as big as a Volkswagen stands between you and him, obliterating the view?

6. Why is it that....the guy with the huge ass walks away at the exact moment the guy has finished putting a towel around his waist?

7. Why is it that....the guy you've been obsessing over is always leaving the locker room to go home just as you're coming in?

8. Why is it that....the housekeeping guy is always coming around the corner just as you're leaving the steamroom and it's impossible to hide your hardon under your towel?

9. Why is it that....just as an amazing group thing is starting in the steamroom, two guys come in, sit down, and start talking with each other about the "big game" last night?

10. Why is it that....just when you think you're gonna get some from that guy who's been looking at you and playing with his cock, in the shower stall across from you, his boyfriend appears (fully dressed) and yells at him: "Hurry up! We're gonna be late!"?

11. Why is it that....the steamroom NEVER seems to be working?

FFF: I love u and many of ur hysterical posts:

>2. Why is it that....when you go to your locker from the shower, there are at least two people with lockers next to yours and barely no one else anywhere in the locker room?

i live across the street from a small Catholic college with a great swimming pool. I do not always appreciate sharing the locker room with the Bishop. Wish our schedules intersected a little less often. Nothing like a Bishop's presence to stifle potential action.

>7. Why is it that....the guy you've been obsessing over is always leaving the locker room to go home just as you're coming in?

So who says there's anything wrong with a second daily workout?

>8. Why is it that....the housekeeping guy is always coming around the corner just as you're leaving the steamroom and it's impossible to hide your hardon under your towel?

So, what's this housekeeping guy look like anyway?

9. Why is it that....just as an amazing group thing is starting in the steamroom, two guys come in, sit down, and start talking with each other about the "big game" last night?

Will they do lookout duty?

11. Why is it that....the steamroom NEVER seems to be working?

IMHO, it seems like you know how to make the steamroom work. Who cares about the rest?

Murphy's Law is the only plausible explanation for these and many other potential "coitus interuptus eventus".

Have a great weekend, all.

Fin Fang Foom--I may be a "whore", but I think public sex is just

plain tacky. For one thing it helps to perpetuate the negative

stereotypes of gay men by the straight public who may happen to

observe those "faggots" who are always on the prowl, whether it's

at the gym, in a park or in a bathroom stall at the mall.

I've had friends arrested for engaging in such activities and

laughed right in their face and told them they deserved it.

There are so many more discreet ways to find sex. I wish more

gay men would practice a little restraint instead of always looking for immediate sexual gratification in a public setting.

Who cares what breeders think?

a pretty straightforward reading of the history of oppression of gays in this country shows that gay men have been forced by breeders into having sex in public places for several centuries. now they're offended? go figure.

i have no problem with sex in public places (i have always found it wild and exciting and forgive breeders who choose to do this too) and don't buy into this society's hypocritical moral code.

maybe they could be more concerned with stopping violence perpetrated by breeders against gays or find another outlet for their moral outrage?

I've always said that if straight men could get sex with the ease faggots get it, industry would come to a screeching halt and civilization as we know it would end. Gay men's pursuit of sex has nothing to do with being faggots and everything to do with being men.

I'm sure your "friends" were touched by your deep concern in their time of need.

I've just never understood the public sex thing. Yeah, I know

about the oppression by the straight world that led to gay men

seeking each other out in these public places, but the times are

a changin', aren't they? I belong to a private gym where there's

no one there but me and my trainer. One of the main reasons was

because of all the cruising, ogling and leering that takes place

in most gyms.

And yes, for some people, it is somehow a thrill and as far as

my "deep concern in their time of need", are you for real? It was

entirely of their own doing and completely stupid and I believe

many men who engage in such activities have some unaddressed

sex addiction issues. Furthermore, all of my friends who are

HIVpos, also got off on sex in public. You can try to justify

it any way you want, but this "whore" still finds it disgusting.

Hey Jizz,

Help me out here: I understand gay men historically could not go to public places and be gay throughout history, but how were they forced into having sex in public places vs. private places? Tks.

Hey Jeff, some of the hottest sex I've ever had was right on the street here in NYC...between parked cars, in dimly lit doorways, on roofs, on the subway...It has nothing to do with sex addiction. It has to do with the fact that it's HOT! And for me, it's always safe (yes, condoms do fit in a pocket and sucking a dick is the same anywhere...that is, if the guy knows how to!). And straight people do have sex in public but usually the cops ignore it...it's much more fun to bust a fag.

As for "perpetuating the negative stereotypes of gay men by the straight public who may happen to observe those 'faggots' who are always on the prowl"...who the fuck cares?? Why is that a negative stereotype, anyway? We are constantly bombarded with images of straight people in sexual situations, whether it's on TV, billboards, or on the street. Is that straight couple I saw this evening, leaning against a parked car grinding their hips into each other & deep kissing, suffering from "unaddressed sex addiction issues"? Sounds like you might be the one with issues, Jeff!

Now get over here to the Big Apple & I'll blow you in Central Park. :-)

RE: Who cares what breeders think?

a fair question. let's say that since we could be arrested for standing too close to a person of the same sex in a bar or wearing more than a certain percentage of clothing that could be attributed to the opposite gender (yes, believe it or not those were blue laws in NY and other states that have since been repealed), we had to develop alternative methods of finding/scoring with one another.

and since most suburban and many urban gay bars did not exist 20 or 30 years ago, there were limited venues for finding other gay people. and that doesn't take into account the fact that most gay men wouldn't go to gay bars because they might lose their jobs or families if they were seen. unless you were near a major city, bathhouses (now called sex clubs) were out of the question also. hence, sex in public places--notably parks, rest areas on or near highways, rest rooms in shopping areas and some institutions. i'm sure there are others i haven't thought of. in my experience in CT, the sidewalks near urban gay bars have always been places for cruising or connecting with hustlers. i'm sure that's true in other states as well. omigod, i almost forgot the wharves in the village (Christopher and West Streets). i hope that answers your question.

I'll admit that having sex with someone you know (and care about) in the bedroom with soft music and lit candles can be very romantic and a good time.

Butt ... spontaneously getting it on with a guy that you find really hot and sexy and especially doing it some place "where you're not suppose to" can be FUCKING HOT AS HELL!!! I guess it's the seduction, the spontanaiety (sp?), and even the risk of possibly getting caught, that adds to the excitement.

And if I were to get arrested (luckily that has never happened), and a supposed "friend" of mine felt the need to laugh and lecture me on the subject (like the pope I suppose?), I'd most likely smack him up his head.

(And it is naive to think that public sex is limited to gay people. My own Aunt told me about the time that she and her boyfriend almost got caught doing it in on a picnic table in a park. Auntie!!) :-)

oops. no more edit button.

forget about taking a hotel room (often) for several reasons. for the past 20 or 30 years any nice hotel has required a credit card to rent a room--"honey, what's this charge for that hotel room last saturday night?" might be a hard question to answer. and the expense is not insignificant.

I'm the sort of friend who tells my friends the truth. I'm not

going to say, "Oh, you poor thing, you got arrested for sex in a

public place," when I'm thinking just the opposite. I expect that

sort of honesty in return. I don't lecture any of my friends, I

merely state my feelings on the subject and move on. I'm not

threatened in any way if a friend disagrees with me or doesn't

approve of something I've done. I appreciate it when they tell me so. Maybe then we can have a more meaningful discussion than

where the hot cruising spots are or whether or not we're going to

the Fuck and Roll Circuit Party.

There may be some things in this world of which I may be "naive",

but I do know straights are quite capable of having sex in public

places and I've seen them.I never said it was limited to gay men,

now did I?

I must have an ingrained sense of propriety when it comes to sex

in public places. Don't get me wrong, I love sex, always have and

when I was 16 and 17 years old I got a few blowjobs at a rest

area near my home. BUT, it's not 1979 and gay men and women have

made tremendous strides towards equality. We're not so oppressed

that we are Forced to do anything in 2001. It's now something you

choose to do for Whatever the reason and whether it's Hotter or

more exciting sex is irrelevant.

As for the couple humping each other, I'm sure they were aware of

what they were doing and getting off on being watched, but she wasn't blowing him right there on the street, was she?

I'll also bet that if a study was done there would be a direct

correlation between people who engage in these anonymous sexual

acts in public and a high incidence of STD,s and HIV. What do you

think helped the rapid spread of HIV in the early eighties? Gay

men continuing to pursue their addiction to the thrill of multiple anonymous encounters in the baths, adult bookstores,

parks and restrooms...how many of them are still around?

The only "issues" I have pertaining to this topic are gay men who

act as if they're at the whim of their hormones and carry on in

public like animals in heat. Take the guy home,(or is your boy-

friend there?), get a room or go to his place. If we're ever

going to gain more acceptance as a minority this type of behavior

must change, otherwise we're just contributing to that which

we struggle to overcome.

And Rick, you can blow me anytime, but NOT, anywhere!

By the way, if some you haven't noticed, I get a thrill out of

fucking with people's minds and seeing how quickly they get worked up over something I've said. Some of you guys are way too

easy...thanks for getting me off.

You may have questioned my opinion Fang but who started the

personal attacks in all of this? This is where you and Lucky

passed JUDGMENT on me. Taking impersonal, "tongue-in-cheek"

comments so personally and characterizing me as contemptuous of

my clients. Did you two run out of sound arguments to support

your opinions or what? None of you "public sex cheerleaders" have

yet to answer the question of whether or not this type of

behavior by gay men is a positive thing for the gay community?

Talk about "nonsensical", what do you call taking a word someone

has said without knowing his intent and immediately assuming

it must be disparaging. Were you two in Salem during the Witch

Hunts?

So, when you get arrested for prostitution, you will expect them to tell you "the truth", right?
