Did we have another big event here that I missed? I hate being late to parties. What prompted the change in titles over the message center? I am assuming it had something to do with the underrated/overrated thread?

It happened while I was writing a pointless and very long response to Will about Jesus! I think you're right. I'm sorry to be Polyanna but I don't get the Hoo boy critics (nothing is perfect but hell, this is fun and unique on the 'Net).

 

I have a good friend who was put down and sort of gently and kindly ripped off (too harsh but not inapt) by one of the favorites here. He decided to try and post a balanced review with my encouragement.

 

I have never written a bad review but I have never had the sort of experience he did from an escort who is familiar here. I reasoned with him that what happened went beyond "bad chemistry" into an area of bad faith by the escort (a very expensive model).

 

His review may serve as a warning to that escort to behave more responsibly and a warning to others to be explicit about what they want with that escort (and all escorts). But I know it won't be a personal, global attack on the escort.

 

He was angry about what he had paid. I suggested to him that it's appropriate to tell an escort that payment in full is predicated upon the customer's satisfaction (reasonably defined. If the escort tries hard, lives up to his stats and magic doesn't happen that does not let the client off the hook. But if the escort is half assed, half-mast or less, bored out of his gourd and unresponsive, I argue that a percentage at least should be withheld).

 

He's shy about being that forward, but I've never met an escort who was shy about taking the money and more if it was offered. I always tell an escort in email that I have a $50 rule. If I get a bad vibe (or he does) I pay $50 and he leaves. Some AOL 'scorts have said in the escort underground that's viewed as a bad sign in a client. So be it. I like my money. I don't give it away merely for showing up cute.

 

In any case, I have every expectation that the review will appear, its subject will respond and that will be that. I don't expect anyone's life or biz to be ruined. But one value of this site clearly is to put even faves on notice that as long as they charge high fees they are accountable for poor performance.

 

Ooops, I better stop. Some idiot mocked me for my length of post (would other parts of my anatomy so full -- hey, my ass and belly are -- but that's not what I mean) in another thread. So yeah! You tell 'em Hoo, this is a cesspool!!!!

I'm guessing that it's because it appears that we're no longer under moderation. If that's true, lets hope that we can behave ourselves. HooBoy has to put up with a lot of abuse as a result of this site. Bad behavior from us is the one thing that he shouldn't have to put up with. I don't know what I would do without this or without HooBoy for that matter. (I know that I would never hire anyone who hasn't been reviewed here and yes I've contributed by reviewing two of the three escorts that I've dated. I would have written a review about the third escort but he left Maximum Escorts shortly after our date and reviewing him seemed kind of pointless.)
