Hey guys,

I found myself wondering what other boards you visit? Or where else you might spend time online?

For myself, I've been a long-time fan of the Atkol forums (http://www.atkol.com, follow the link to the forums) and try to stop by once a day or so. I think atkol is still worth visiting, even though in some ways the forums aren't nearly as fun or interesting as they were a couple of years ago. (Or perhaps it's me, instead.)

I also try check out a few online news sources each day, including the NY Times, Washington Post and LA Times, and then sometimes CNN.com or the Times of London, depending on the news day.

In no particular order:

The discussion board's at: http://www.jr-ent.com/topdrawer/;

http://www.muscleservice.com; and http://www.hunkvideo.com

I'm a news junkie so I visit http://www.nj.com (which links me to both of my local newspapers) and http://www.newsdirectory.com (which links me to just about any other newspaper, magazine and television station).

I verify the validity of those e-mail rumors that I decide to read (I delete most of them unread) at http://www.snopes.com

I frequently visit http://www.speakout.com

My favorite search engines are http://www.dogpile.com, http://askjeeves.com and http://www.google.com.

and I'm enjoy visting the web sites of those escorts who've caught my eye. ;-)

Hey Justice -

I may have just accidentally submitted a partial post, so it's possible this will duplicate something just before it; I can't tell right now.

But I wanted to thank you for the links. I didn't know about newsdirectory.com and that's pretty cool. I've already found links to a couple of mags in my industry (software) that I didn't know about and the regional links are great for travelers since they make finding local news so easy.

I also checked out speakout.com... it look's interesting, but the content is mostly really outdated. Is this a normal state of affairs?

And the eye-candy at top-drawer is certainly quite nice.

So thanks!

Yeah, I'm a long-time denizen at atkol as well. Remember the KB range war and all the kvetching and sniping? Many regulars (and most of the porn stars) got tired of it and just stopped coming.

It's a good memory to bring here at this time. Those who ignore history are condemned to repeat it. :o

I also enjoy celebrity gossip so I visit filth2go.com and datalounge.com, although the latter is a total cesspool right now and the former is suffering an invasion of the mindless (and for a while, another KB onslaught).

I do spend a lot of time on internet newsgroups, but mostly job-related and very tech-specific.

Good topic!

I do remember. :-) I managed never to catch his attention, thankfully. It's nice to see some of the old names pop up every so often at Atkol. You might be amused to learn that I corresponded with Tyler for a while after we both stopped going to Atkol, but that sort of just petered out. He's a pretty decent guy and now a father, of course.

Yes, it's been on my mind recently. Atkol's had its share of both dangers -- incredible bitterness and sheer boredom. Unfortunately, for a board, boredom seems to be the ultimate danger and I don't think Atkol every really completely recovered, even though the folks who run it say they prefer it in its current state.

I did <sigh>

The loon hacked in and stole an e-mail address book from one of the pornstar escorts I'd hired who was one of his targets. The only way I found to reliably stop the insanity was to kill that e-mail address. (Big pain in the butt!)

Yes, you're right: boredom is one way to kill a message board. Hate is another. If people don't feel "safe" posting, the community will dwindle as people find other places to hang out. It's just human nature.

I don't visit ANY other boards than this one. There's a real world out there and I would rather spend my time visiting it than sitting in front of a computer screen. It's bad enough that I have become addicted to stopping in here every day after checking my email; I don't want to find anyplace else that I simply must check out regularly.

Thanks for posting the links. I had no idea about newsdirectory.com. A brilliant resource site. While I have visited speakout.com in the past it had been so long I forgot about them. I checked it out this evening and noticed they have added quite a bit of content. I will start visiting the site again on a regular basis.

I tend to visit several escort sites who I might be thinking of hiring or just like to check out. I also enjoy certain forums on the CFS message board. Especially the Thailand forum.

Yahoo chat and boards are a regular stop for me as well. Little to no moderation, not a major flame problem and plenty of posts.

I agree google is an excellent search engine. I tend to use yahoo and dogpile as backups.

Lastly I check out http://biggercity.com once in a while. This site is for chubs, bears and chasers.

I check all kinds of television, film, and media websites everyday. If you update your headlines regularly, I'm there. I'm a media whore (as well as the other kind, I guess...)

The only message board I check daily is the discussion board at http://www.outsports.com. Great topics and hardly ever any bitching. Very rare on any message board, especially a gay themed one :)
