Adtually, though my memory is not as good as some, I don't remember saying recently that you were humorless. I do remember some other people congratulating you on letting your sense of humor show more, and I agree with them on that.

 

We are all of us complex human beings and when something that is said at one time disagrees with something that is said at another time, it is quite possible that we have either changed our minds or are a bit confused and finding ourselves able to actually think both things at once.

My father used to say "Damn it all to hell and back again." He never left out the "and back again" and so I guess he felt that it was a bit more excusable because he never left anyone he put in hell down there. So I can see where a certain person might feel more OkeyDokey about daming people than damning them. Perhaps for him it means that its not a sending to hell but a metaphor in which he is busy as a beaver trying to stop up the flow of the conversation when it is going in a direction unacceptible to himself.
