I cannot believe how lifeless this site has become. I have been away for a over a week but I noticed changes about 2 weeks ago. Where has all the adrenial gone from this site????. If this does not change, I am frankly out of here too...

No doubt the fact that Bozo is stuck up the middle east does not help, but why is no one else doing his reviews of the Gaiety Deli and Boutique. Bozo, we miss your red nose, and your other red things, ooppps.

We all need to work at making this site a better place. Instead of complaining about it -- do something! Start a thread! Contribute to the discussions. Help make the site become what it should be. Just my two cents.

If you choose to abandon this site, that is certainly your right. Nobody is REQUIRED to come here. You must make the choice that is right for YOU right now.

I do think, however, that you would be throwing away the baby with the bathwater. And the baby wouldn't be very happy about that.

The site is still here. The regulars are still here (minus a few loose screws). We're just having a brief period of unpleasantness that will end soon (we all hope).

When was your last escort encounter? I've got one scheduled for Tuesday. Let's compare notes. Come on in and chat.

I agree with Johnny, this site has lost a lot of its bite in the past couple of weeks in its subject content. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just doesn't feel the same, dare I say it appears to have become a bit too sanitized and ordinary, two things I try to stay away from.

I am not ready to abandon this site, however, far from it, I am just hoping it becomes a "must" to visit every day once again very soon.

Johnny,

People's lives were being compromised and this place was becoming a free-for-all and potentially dangerous to a group of people whom privacy is of utmost importance.

You are someone I personally have respected and I am saddended that you do not understand why I am protecting everyone here.

If you elect to post, it will still go up in a matter of mintues to no less than a few hours. But you can be satisfied in knowing that a loose cannon will not be able to compromise your privacy or the privacy of anyone else here.

If you still do not agree with this policy...then I mis-read you.

Have a goodnight.

If guys want to come here to slap each other around, that is hardly the point. We who use escorts revere this site and couldn't live without it. Shame on those who think it should just be a forum for their own twisted views. Rambling rants belong on the Dennis Miller show not here. That gets to be SOOOO boring .... Get a life!

Keep it up Hooboy!

If you couldn't live without this website, then you are the one who needs to get a life. Hiring hookers is a pastime, not a life.

I don't feel adding moderators to the message center is that big a deal, but clearly some people do. The problem arises because of the type of people who are attracted to hooking. If you are going to let those people participate in the site, then problems like the one that led to the addition of moderators are bound to happen. Big surprise.

Any forum, social group, relationship or individual for that matter goes through periods of change. If there weren't episodes of diversity or cycles of cleansing then the capacity to indulge new ideas and virtues would not exist.

It's up to the majority to create the overall message of this site, if the majority is in downfall then so is your forum. I have much higher hopes for this forum and I belive many others do as well. We sign on to this site for more than just escort/client advice, more than criticism and comparative diversity. If you experience only the surface of what is here you may make that assumption. Read beyond that and find something here that may actually make you smile or if nothing else appreciate your own life. We certainly are not here for the downtrodden woe's and misfortune of those unable to see the positive in anything. For those that love to hold on to the last branch of ineptitude I say, keep your comments to yourself or find your partying brothers and start your own site.

I agree with your point, but am put off by it's abruptness.

This seems to be a broad generalization. Do you use "hooking" as a psuedonym for escorting, or is there a different connotation? And exactly what "type of people" are "they"? How can a mere moderator keep them out? Aren't they the type of people that we as a clients are attracted to? Is that awful? Why do you "use" them if hookers are so problematic? Don't get mad, I'm only curious (george).

I think it's pretty obvious to anyone with a brain that there are definatly some unsavory types that partake in hooking. But there are those of us who are educated, well travelled, and street smart, that choose to escort not to make a quick buck, but for a variety of varied reasons.

Generalizations only hurt everyone... IE all homosexuals are limp wristed drag queens....

matt(never done drag... unless you count rubber drag: )

I am desolated to hear that.

Both words refer to people who engage in sex acts for hire. Isn't that what this site is about?

In another thread many months ago HB explained that he allows escorts to post rebuttals to reviews because "the nature of this business" is such that some escorts are going to post fake negative reviews in order to trash others. I think he means the same thing by the phrase "the nature of this business" that I mean when I refer to "the type of people who are attracted to" the business. What was it that led to the use of moderators here? If you know the answer then you know that what he refers to and what I refer to is very real.

On the contrary, generalizations are often accurate and are the basis for policy choices, like the policy of allowing escorts to post rebuttals here. Registered Republicans are more likely to be pro-life than registered Democrats. A disproportionate number of violent crimes is committed by repeat offenders. People who live in Caracas are more likely to speak Spanish than people who live in Xiamen. We all use and rely on generalizations all the time. Don't knock 'em.

You seem to be confusing the message board with the site. It is just one part of an otherwise valuable site. (In my opinion it was never the most valuable part, or even all that interesting.) The reviews in particular, if used properly, can be enormously informative. THAT is what makes the site. It has made a big difference to me, and I'm sure to many. Also, as it costs nothing to those who use it, thanks to Hooboy, I don't see what you have to lose even if the message board has lost some of its zest. What remains more than justifies being a regular visitor. Long may it continue!

I don't think this site has died, although the profusion of false reviews has wounded it a bit.

As for the content of the message boards, if I want a lot of mindless happy talk I'll watch the Today Show. If I want to read a bunch of advertisements created by and for escorts there are plenty of other sites I can visit where they promote themselves. What makes this site valuable is the platform it provides for a frank exchange of views about escorts by clients. No doubt there are some escorts who would like to see such frank exchanges become a thing of the past, but I hope they continue.

Guest Nocturnal

I have been a reader of this site for a very long time. I do not think the site has died at all. I do not see the problem in having a postponed message. I love my Internet and I guess I have gotten so use to my high speed access that I expect everything instantaneously. Recently, I visited family and had to use a 56K modem. My God! How slow it was. It made me remember how patient I use to be and yes, how impatient I have now become. Please don't let the fact that your post may take a few minutes or an hour to get posted on this site to allow you to forget the importance the site has in many people's lives.

Getting the Zing back in M4M

Hoo:

I am not giving up on this site, believe me. I was simply observing the impact that moderating is having on it. It is unfortunate. I was not privy to what the exchanges were but I trust the action you have taken was warranted. Unfortunately, a lot of punch has been lost and we will have to all get used to the new procedures in order to get the zing back. Bring on the viagra!!!

We need to have a site like this to share information and experiences. Now lets get it up girls.

Johnny
