I suspect that Josh from Premier had "help" in writing his response to his recent negative review. In this case, I don't have any problem with his having help, because some of the response's details were necessary in light of the specific complaints made by the reviewer. The fact that he normally gets good reviews also weighs in in his favor.

My apologies in advance because I'm sure this is probably NOT going to come across correctly. I don't want anything to think I'm being critical of anyone in particular and definitely NOT HooBoy. I appreciate what this site has to offer. I am simply seeking other opinions and suggestions on the most appropriate way to handle reviews where HooBoy (or anyone else) has reason to believe that the escort (or the escort's agency) might have submitted the review himself.

If you have seen some of the other posts today, you may know that there is an agency - relatively new - that, for whatever reason, is believed to have submitted some reviews of its own boys. (See the emails) I was getting ready to set something up with one of their boys when I realized (and someone else confirmed it for me) that the reviews that I had seen previously had disappeared. Until I saw the other Message Board posts and emails, I had no idea of what happened -- or, if I was dreaming. But, I found the Agency's site as a result of one of the reviews - so, I knew I couldn't have dreamt the entire thing.

So......my question is NOT about whether or not this happened. I would simply like to see if others feel the way I do and think that it would be better instead of deleting the suspect reviews if HooBoy simply leaves the reviews in place and marks them somehow as being "suspect" and provides the reason. That would enable us to make up our own minds and probably actually help us understand what's happening.

Since I submit reviews periodically, I would not want anyone to think that if I submit a review of one of this agency's boys, that it is necessarily (or, automatically) bogus.

I would also like to thank those on the Board who helped me find out what happened. I readily admit that I don't follow all of the site's components and, in particular, email very much and hadn't seen the communications about this particular agency.

Thanks,

Rookie

I think the way they are handled now is fair and works well.

Please correct me if I'm wrong Hooboy, but in general....

If there is hardcore proof of a self-reported or made-up review then the review is yanked and trashed.

If there is strong suspicion but no hardcore proof then the review is pulled pending an investigation by Hooboy. If everything seems legit, he reposts it. If everything does not pan out then the review hits the trash.

If there are a few very minor concerns (pale yellow flags) then we talk endlessly about the review here and the review remains. In these cases everyone uses their own “divining rod” to ferret out the fakes.

Remember that the truth despises the darkness and rarely stays hidden for long. Nonetheless, Caveat Emptor!

One of the most enjoyable things about this site is trying to

figure out which review are for real and which are bogus, so leave Hooboy and everyone else out of it. The other great things is reading the escort's response to a negative review. The response is almost always revealing. For example, I suspect that

Premier in Philadelphia is working with its escort in responding. That coordination tells you a lot right there.

Rookie, yours is the kind of review we ARE looking for.

You've got a record on this site (over 5 reviews). If we doubt your review we can go back to your other reviews and compare.

I don't know about the agency in question, but a review from you would certainly give credence to their reputation.

Well said Dick, well said. You took the words right out of my keyboard.

Rookie, just because this agency is suspected of writing their own reviews doesn't mean that every review about one of their guys is going to be painted with the same broad brush. I would add one caveat. According the e-mail exchanges between HooBoy and the agency, several of the reviews were sent from the agency's incall location. If the agency is using DSL or a cable modem, then every review had the same IP address. (These two services assign a unique IP address to their subscribers. That's currently not possible with dialup services such as AOL.) I'm sure that raised all sorts of red flags. So if you decided to use the agency, please do not fall into that trap. Write your review from the comfort of your own home. I'm sure that it will be worth waiting for. Good luck, have fun, and please keep us posted. :-)

Alan, I'm curious which responses from Premier escorts you think were written with help from the agency. What do you make of this? Is it good or bad (I can actually imagine both interpretations)?

As Justice points out, I suspect Josh and Premier worked on his

response together. If we are correct, it is both good and bad.

Good because of the to the point detail without bashing the client. Bad because the responds usually tells you more about the escort than that the reviews. That is, when the reponses are written by the escorts. The bottom line is that Premier is a first-rate agency. If they are helping with the responses,it shows once again how concerned they are about every aspect of the business.
