Let's see how rationally you would act once someone has hurt you so deeply and emotionally.

I begged you dammit..

Why was begging enough, dammit.. I did not want anyone to know I was black. This site is full of hateful people who would take advantage of that. Why did you make me part of this god dam PC crusade of yours? I told you that you hurt ME.. Then everything you said afterwards hurt me so much more. I begged you dammit..

Do you know how it is to be bullied so bad and to feel so dam vulnerable? What couldn't you stop? Why did you make this some dam stick to your guns issue and some PC crusade? Why did you have to hurt me? Why did you have to take it out on me?

See how rational you act when people are calling you a nigger, fag, or just bullying and you beg them to stop and they keep going? To make it worse they ridicule you for being sensitive to being bullied. I never did anything against you Fing Fang Foom, why couldn't you stop when I begged you?

Shadow -

I am not you so I cannot feel what you are feeling. I am not black, so I cannot feel what that feels like. I have not lived your life, so I cannot claim to have walked in your shoes.

But I am gay and, yes, I know what it feels like to be called a fag. I know what it feels like to be hurt by bullies and others. I know what it feels like to feel alone. And I know what it feels like to build a wall around oneself at an early age in order to try to keep the world at bay.

I think, in fact, most gay men, if they are honest with themselves, have felt these things, too.

But if we are lucky, we come out on the other side a little stronger, a little wiser, a little better and hopefully more tolerant and understanding of others. It's important to remember that we are all trying to find our way as best we can.

And for the second time in one day, I am reminded here of the phrase 'gay community.' I believe in this phrase and I think it does and should mean something, something much more than simply something to say. There are so many 'communities' these days that sometimes the word seems to have lost much of its meaning. But I do think the gay community is a community in the larger sense and I do believe we should stand up for each other.

I do not care if you are black or white. I do not care if you are young and old. I only care that you care to join us and that you care to share honestly with us and help us all try to find solutions to our common needs and problems.

It does not matter to me that you are black and I do not think worse of you for knowing, or better, either. You are who you are and your skin color is irrelevant.

It sounds as though you think you will be thought of differently here, now that people know you are black. I think not; this is a pretty welcoming community itself.

But I do think you have made your point now about this thread. For the common good, which includes you as much me or any of the others, I'd like to suggest that it's time to let it go.

Yes, I think a few people could have been a bit more sensitive, especially since we don't really know each other and can't see or feel the pain any one of us might be feeling. But those who have reacted not so well, in my opinion, have been greatly out-numbered by those who have expressed a desire to understand and to help.

In case you are feeling ostracized now, let me formally welcome you back and assure you that this poster, at least, looks forward to sharing many future threads with you and hopefully, along the way, good feelings, laughs and lots of smiles.

Oh, sorry, I fell asleep.

Shadow, would you like to come and stand up in the front of the class and explain to all the boys and girls why "screaming like a black lady in church" is offensive and not just bemaon the state of race relations in the United States as it has been applied to you all your life?

However, if you just want to bitch and moan about how hard life is and how unfair it is and how we just can't possibly understand and do a Judy "Behind Every Cloud There's Another Cloud" Garland routine on us and blah blah blah, then, the line forms at the rear bub.

We've all had it rough.

With tough love,

Long ago every one forgot that the original posting was about

speculation that Billy Brandt is a secret bottom as proven by

photos in FRESHMAN magazine. The irony of all this is that I can state with 100% knowledge that Billy is top, has always been a top and will always be a top. This site is partly about speculation concerning well-known gay people, so I can't fault the person that posted the original message. But, the speculation did not hurt Billy, it hurt shadow and the speculation was someone's fantasy.

Enough Already! Your posts are really starting to fucking irritate me. I got news for you. MOST white people go out of their way to be sensitive to the plights of African Americans. But you know what pisses me off about guys like you? There are always a few guys like you who have to exploit it, manipulate it, and use it to carry on either a personal agenda or build and enjoy some drama to make up for whatever is missing in their lives! When guys like you decide to make such big issues out of trivial ones, you only serve to desensitize people to the issues and problems facing African Americans. You know, the crying wolf too many times thing? So knock it off.

And you know something? There are a lot of people of all races who are faced with far greater obstacles in life compared to reading about fat church ladies singing in church. The escort Brad, for example, after only 20 years on this planet no longer has his life to live! An employee (mid twenties) in my apartment building recently fell off a ladder and is now permanently paralyzed from the waist down. There are gazillions of examples of what I mean. But hopefully you get my point. Surely there are other more constructive things that you can get all traumatized about? But either way, get a fucking grip!!

I know. Dam(n) me.

Shadow,

Get over it.

You're getting nowhere, making no allies, increasing your enemies, and diminishing any value your ideas may have.

I have read all the posts and cannot really figure out why you're upset. And regardless of what ideas some of us may have, until you actually explain why that statement was offensive, I frankly will not give you much thought.

There is a saying that less is more. Copying and posting large segments of posts and simply shouting "Dam(sic) You" at the bottom is ridiculous.

Beyond any of that, how could a statement made on a message board on the internet from a group of people you most likely never have met or will ever meet have that much of an impact on your life?

That alone leads me to believe that whatever point you are trying to drive home has lost any merit and you're just playing a role.

Show's over.

You're side of this hasn't been exactly making you any new allies worth having, either. Get over yourself. Get a grip. I am sorry but I no longer trust you. There was a group of people who were reacting to you negatively all the time. And I thought that they were maybe coming down a little hard on you. Now, Missy, I am in full agreement with them. Get your hard little punk rock ass down in front of the class your own d... self and where Sister Mary's ruler doesn't have so far to travel. If you are the spice of choice in this cantina, well... I really don't think so! Maybe Konga should do a compilation of some of the things you have said over the course of your time here. I, for one, would quit reading anything you wrote here were it not that that might make it more difficult to find out what everyone was up in arms about.

And, moderators, if you have any inclination to deep six this note, please do so. I know that I deserve it for some of the things I have said in it. However, I would dearly love to see a lock or a disappear put on this whole thread. Please consider it.

Not being one that contributes alot to the message board, but having been here from almost the beginning, I just couldn't let this one go by. Yes, my name is "Billy" and the first time I tried it as a bottom (a couple of months ago) it did turn out "messy" even though I did EVERYTHING to insure that nothing like that would EVER happen. Anyway, having come out in Atlanta, and being a personal friend of Butterfly McQueen, all I can do is quote her most famous line... "But Miss Scarlett, I don't know nothing 'bout birthing no babies!" Off topic I know, but if you had been me that first time, I would have given anything for Butterfly's smile (which she took to the bank every time she made that statement in public) instead of the horror I felt with my first escort experience. The moral of this story is much like Butterfly "explained" her famous line to me, and, that is "Baby, no matter what they say or what they think, as long as you can smile at yourself everything's gonna be alright. Baby, what I'm trying to tell you is, enjoy life, laugh at life, make the best of your life - it's not gonna last forever."

AIM, I know more about the oppression of others than you would ever know.

I have done more to constructively help the impressions of African Americans and other minorities than you would ever know.

I felt great pain for the death of Brad and other young people in my life who have gone to a early end.

You line about white people having gone out of their way to help african americans sounds word for word what a white women once said to Muhamad Ali.

MOre than anything, it is post like yours that have done the most to hurt. You and Fing Fang Foom are the ones on a crusade. Fing Fang Foom is on some PC crusade, while you are the one who sees minorities as whining.

What have you done?

If you are becoming irritated by my posts, then that is a good thing. Maybe you will come closer to the way that I felt.

"Get a Grip", what do you know about get a grip?

I have come to this message board for a long time, and now you are quick to categorize me as one of those guys.

Who is sorry?

AIM who sees me as one of those african americans who whine too much?

LAbuyer who contributes to my pain and thinks its stupid and melodramatic?

Harrison with zero posts who doesn't understand how people on the message center can hurt me?

Fin Fang Foom who is on some PC crusade?

LAPrada, with his 13 posts, who sees me as a drama queen and a hypocrite?

Everyone's true colors are coming out.

This issue needs closure, not locking out. If you ignore it by locking it out, you will hurt me more than you ever know. When this post eventually goes away, most people here will have forgotten it..But the pain will still be there for me.Am I making people feel uncomfortable by describing my pain?

Since when does this post do anything to sidetrack the other posts? I have to interact with everyone here, but more and more I'm beginning to find that that is not a good thing.

Do you know what I want? I want, no, want I need is an apology. Not an apology to all the african americans and minority groups out there, but to me. If people here can at least bring on themselves to give an apology, that would go a long way to taking away the pain. For as long as I have been on this board, I deserve at least that.

I told you that the original line spoken by Fin Fang Foom reminded me of my mother and other women who have raised me and had an impact on my life. It also reminded me of the women of the civil rights movement and people like the mothers of the children who were killed in the church bombing. When I saw Fin Fang Foom's line, I tried not to make a big deal of it by typing only a single line. Then people came in and bullied me, ridiculed me for having that pain. That only increase the hurt exponentially. For such an immensly personal issue all i could think of doing was beg. I begged and pleaded. People like Fin Fang Foom and LAPrada did not care. I did not want people here to know about my race. Now that I am trying to described the pain, people have categorized as one of those african americans who whines. Going from begging to whining. Why were people so cruel when I begged? I humbled myself a great amount, and all people here could do was take advantage of me.

I need closure. Locking out this thread would stop the so-called irritation for some people who read it, but the pain would only increase for me. You don't understand this pain..

Billy did consider bottoming while at Falcon, not necessarily for the money (extra $800) but because that was "what my fans want." Has he ever been a bottom in his person life? Yes, once or twice. But, his orientation is a top. I would expect him to bottom at least once in his new video deal. But, your speculation that he's big messy bottom" is just wrong. Not that there's anything wrong what being a bottom (to paraphrase Seinfeld.)

RE: Hooboy's Lockdowns & Billy Brandt

>We volunteers have recommended to Hoo

>that this thread either be

>deleted or locked. He's

>pondering our suggestions.

Love the image of Hooboy 'pondering' your suggestion!

Last week it took him about a nanosecond to decide whether to lock the "Matt replies" thread--and just when Rastignac & I were narrowing in on the truth about how he had handled it. Apparently in a panic, he then pretended to suspect R & I were one in the same poster (another bit of dishonesty on his part--and irrelevant even if it had been true), then promptly cut off all further discussion.

When I cried foul (and 'coverup!')in my next post, that post was deleted. I haven't posted since, and as far as I know, neither has Rastignac. But that's OK: unless he gets a lot better at covering up his tracks, Hoo will inevitably expose his own shenanigans again, and without the help of his critics.

But back to the current brouhaha. Regarding everything Shadow has had to say, what intrigues me most is learning that he'd hoped (throughout hundreds of his posts) to keep anyone from knowing he was African-American! (But I guess we should all be thankful that point hasn't been seized and turned into another off-topic tangent.)

On-topic now, I can only say that, while lacking Alan's up close & personal knowledge of Billy Brandt, I did have the chance to observe him during his calamitous appearance at the Gaiety about a year & a half ago. Besides having badly cut& colored hair, a mediocre body, and erectile dysfunction problems (with precious little to erect anyway), he delivered an embarrassingly poor onstage performance & an even worse one in the green room. (I don't think his 'star turn' at the Gaiety lasted to the weekend & he certainly never showed up again. Perhaps NYObserver can fill in on this.)

That anyone would debate whether so nelly an airhead as BB is a 'top' or 'bottom' by nature (or in practice), strikes me as truly laughable, while calling into question the very meaning of those terms in such a context. Talk about gender-bending!

In fact, I was going to say that if Billy Brandt is a top he must actually be a lesbian. But that might have started still another PC uproar.

Is that supposed to be a joke? Have you forgotten some of the nasty things you have said to others on this message board, including me? Remember when you called me an "ignorant piece of shit" because of my comments on Stephan Lacoste's thread about arresting escorts in their homes? I remember. Remember the insults you heaped on me simply because I disagreed with something you said about the Matthew Shepard film? I remember those too. You have never apologized for any of the hurtful things you have said to others here. Why the hell do you deserve better treatment than you have meted out? Hypoocrite!

finally, regulation. You are the worse.

Do you know why I got so upset at you so long ago?

With the nasty way you talk to people. I saw you as below dirt. But when you used Rosa Parks to continue talking nasty to other people, the was beyond horrible..

YOu read a book about Rosa Parks, so what did you do? Did you go out and tutor young minority kids?

Did you encourage businesses to invest in minority neighborhoods?

Did you go out and volunteer to help clean up minority neighborhoods?

It looked like you read the books so that you could put someone down on this website. It looked like you read the book just so you can call someone a hypocrite.

I challenge anyone to look at all of the posts I have ever written and compare them to all of the post you have ever written and see who is the true hypocrite..

Why does this word seem to hold so much power for you? I have been called a nigger and many other things.. I have gone out and made a difference and continue to make a difference..

This word hypocrite seems to only have power among old cynical white elitest men..I don't know why you use it so much.

Please, when I was calling you those names I was really hoping that you would understand how you were making people feel in all of your posts.. People had been trying for a long time to get some humility out of you.. You were always too stubborn to listen..Like the world was against your blind self..If you would had asked me to stop, I would had stopped..If you would had ask me for an apology I would had given it to you..My regret about that situation is that it did not make you more humane at all, but even more like a cornered caged animal..and for that, I apologize...

Think of all the people you owe apologizes to

Hey CZ:

I suppose we did catch Hooboy red-handed, so to speak, and he is now condemned to wear the scarlet quotation marks for life.

After Hooboy locked the thread, I sent him a private message about his charge that you and I are the same person, but he never answered....
