Gosh, can I come over and drool on your new Powerbook? I'm a Mac loyalist myself, but I'm pounding away on an iBook (I'm REALLY fond of it). I'm using OS 9.1; right now there's little software on the market for OS X and all of mine would operate under the Classic system, so there's not much point for me. Some recent reviews also suggested hanging off until later this year on OS X until some revisions and bugs are worked out. But if there isn't much software yet that takes advantage of it, it probably doesn't make a lot of difference. The Powerbook itself is too hot for words. Go for it, and have fun using it!

Hi Rod. I don't have any experience with Mac's, but I happen to be a Unix specialist. I understand your new toy will be running Unix. So if you ever have any Unix related question, please post it and I'll be happy to help. Off-topic, judging from your reviews and postings, you seem to be a very special person.

Titanium??

Hot machine, hot operating system :p

It'll take a little time to roll out the apps for OSX and to squeeze out a few bugs but, unlike Mr. Gates, Apple doesn't make you pay for the fixes :-).

Want one myself... but most of my money goes these days to a kitchen renovation and to other hardware purchases... well short-term rentals mostly. ;-)

Envy...
