Did you guys see the latest (positive) review for Nicolas in Fort Lauderdale? There was a previous thread asking when negative reviews should be taken seriously. The most recent (positive) review actually highlights why the previous negative review should be taken seriously.

First, the newest review was almost certainly written by the escort himself. He makes similar grammatical and stylistic errors in his review as in his AOL profile. An obvious example is the failiure to capitalize his "I"s, which I can't see a "55 yrs. old businessman" doing. Neither can I imagine a 55 year old businessman spelling guys "guyz", or writing "nicolases" instead of "Nicolas's." To top it off, the "50$ tip" seems very suspicious for such a short encounter. And then there's the fact that the positive review was written by a first-time reviewer.

Also, the escort is obviously computer-connected and savvy, since he has his own webpage. Nevertheless, he never even bothered to respond to the negative review's criticisms, let alone deny that they were true.

Finally, although he has some good reviews that may be real, they do point to a similar negative trait of being rather quick on the draw. This is a good example of having to be careful when reading reviews. Even if not all of the good reviews are fake, the one obviously fake one, combined with the unrebutted negative one, puts up a major red flag. Although he has four positive reviews to the one negative one, I would say that in this case I would have to put more weight to the negative review.
