I recently e-mailed a NYC escort agency requesting one hour with a specific escort for the first weekend in March. I want to assure myself that I can get him. Realizing that this is in 4 weeks and may be too early to book anyone, I am somewhat surprised that the agency has not responded to either assure me that I will indeed be booked with that specific escort or, that it's too early to book. What is a reasonable time frame to request a booking with someone from an agency? Should I recontact them with the same request OR should I wait until I get to NYC and try my luck then (it may be too late by then to get who I want). What should I do?

Anyone in the business world knows the importance of replying to all inquiries. I think a reasonable time for email replies is 3-4 days.

I also think that it is simple courtesey to reply to all emails. Yes, I know there are many on here who argue that they are overwhelmd with the volume of the email they get. I can truly understand that as in my line of work I get on some days 2-3 hundred emails a day. The easy solution to this is to have a "canned" reply that you simply cut and paste. Especially for those emails that are looky loos so to speak. I can't tell you how a simple reply ahs helped develop good will and ultimately helped my company.

IMHO, if you don't have the time to reply to my email, don't advertise any more. You obvioulsy have way more business than you need! Just to be clear, I am not saying that those that don't reply are bad or wrong, just that I don't agree with it.

If the agency doesn't get back to you soon, then you might want to try going somewhere else. My first experience with an escort was with an escort who used to work for Maximum Escorts in New York. I highly recommend them. They responded to my e-mails in a very timely manner (often in the same day), were very good about answering my many questions, and went out of their way to accomodate my very specific request. (I used their fantasy service.) Unfortunately, in the interest of full disclosure, I have to note that there have been a couple of negative posts about them. I suggest that you use the search feature, do a search for "Maximum Escorts", search all fields, and all forums and include archived posts in your search. Read everything that's been said about them and then use that information to make your decision. Their url is http://www.maximumescorts.com.

I also have one other recommendation. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but I highly recommend that you consider seeing Rick Munroe or his partner Derek Ross. (They're independent escorts who are based in New York.) I had the pleasure of getting together with Rick and I only have three things to say about him: he's a hell of a nice guy, he's VERY good at what he does, and he truly deserved his 2000 escort of the year award. (My very favorable review of him is pending.) At Rick's suggestion, I've scheduled a date with Derek. If his e-mails and telephone skills are any indication, I'm going to have a hell of a good time with him. I've very much looking forward to getting together with him. Trust me, you won't go wrong with either one of them.

Justice,

Many thanks for your advise. I appreciate your suggestions. The agency I was referring to is "Campus Escorts", prominently featured on this web site. Again, am interested in hiring one of their escorts who has had very good reviews on this site. I have heard many fabulous things about Rick Monroe. However, I am primarily interested in Jeremy from "Campus". If I don't hear from them soon, I may just place a call to them OR send another e-mail and see what happens. It just seems so odd to me that I would be ignored by an agency who is so prominently advertising how wonderful they are. Is Campus a reliable agency?

Your welcome. I'm only too happy to help.

It does seem odd that they would ignore your e-mails. In your next e-mail, you might want to consider mentioning that you saw their ad on this site. (Maximum used to advertise here and I mentioned that I saw their ad in my very first e-mail to them. I'm not sure if that's what generated such a fast response, but I'm sure that it didn't hurt.)

>Is Campus a reliable agency?

I really don't know very much about them. Follow my advise re: doing a search for Maximum and see if there's any posts about Campus. By doing your homework, you'll avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Good luck!

I have nothing but praise for Campus, Kenny, and I am really surprised that Mike has not written back to you. He is usually extremely efficient....As for Jeremy, what can I say? He is just one of the most fantastic escorts I have ever met: a rare combination of stunning good looks, sweet personality and intelligence. My advice: just keep on trying. E-mail Mike once again, mentioning that you have been waiting for his reply like forever....Believe me, meeting Jeremy is worth the effort :9 :9 :9

To all of you who have responded,a big THANK YOU. I followed your advise and sent another e-mail to Campus. Lo and behold, I got a response the very same day from Mike, telling me that Jeremy was available for the time that I wanted him and that I should call back to confirm. From Liubit's comment, I am in for a great time with a nice person. I intend to call Campus today to confirm. I just wonder why my original e-mail was not responded to (perhaps it got lost or I was too early in trying to book so far in advance). If any one is still interested, how early is too early to book? (original title of this topic).I did this 4 weeks prior to the date....as soon as I knew of my plans to be in NYC at the time and to assure myself of getting my first choice.

Kenny,

I so glad that you were able to work things out with Campus and that you're going to be able to see Jeremy. Good for you!

Here's my response to your original question:

I think it depends on the circumstances. You knew that you were going to be in New York on certain dates. You wanted to see a particular escort. There was nothing wrong with trying to set up a date as soon as you finalized your travel plans.

Here's a quote re: scheduling that I copied directly from the transcript of Los Angeles based independent escort Rod Hagen's chat:

Rod Hagen> raffy: I book ahead smae night or 3 months ahead. you just gotta call me.

I think Rod's answer says it all.

I'm still at a loss as to why Campus did not respond to your original emails. (Maybe they disappeared into cyberspace?) You might want to consider discussing it with them when you call to confirm.

Have fun!

Justice

Guest CampusMike

Hello,

This is Mike from Campus Escorts. I did not receive your message about Jeremy until yesterday at 2:00 PM. I responded to the message at 8:00 PM. I checked my e-mails for the past two weeks (I delete everything beyond that) and I have no other message from the e-mail address you sent asking for Jeremy. I did find an e-mail from you on Jan 30th from a different e-mail address asking the same question. I also responded to that e-mail on the same day it was received within a few hours. I think what happened was in your letter on Jan 30th, you asked that I reply to you at another address. When I responded to you, I simply hit reply as opposed to typing in the different e-mail address. If you check your other e-mail account, you will find that I responded to you the same day.

Sometimes, mail does get lost in cyberland. I think that is very rare, but it does happen. If you have not received a response from an agency within 24 hours, by all means resend the original message. Also, be aware that some agencies do not check e-mail as often as I do. My best friend tried to hire an escort last year from a very reputable agency not in NYC and it took them 2 weeks to get back to him. Since I am the one that recommended the agency, he asked me what to do after a few days and I told him to give them a call. He did and got the booking immediately. However, it was two weeks before they responded to the original e-mail.

For the record, I normally respond to all e-mails within 24 hours. I try to respond to them twice per day, once in the morning and once at night. I know that this means that I sometimes miss appointments from people who want someone immediately. However, I don’t book appointments via e-mail anyway. I always ask someone to call me to confirm any appointment discussed via e-mail. I do not put appointments on the calendar until I speak to someone on the phone. I found out early on that this was the best policy for me. It may be different for other agencies or individual escorts, but for me, I want to hear a voice on the phone.

As far as how far in advance someone should book an appointment, I would say that depends on the escort. For example, as an agency, I would book some of the boys I work with many months in advance. I would only do this for the boys that I have worked with for a long period of time. I would not book someone that has only been with me for a month or two the same way. When clients ask to book new escorts months in advance, I will normally ask them to wait for closer to the appointment to book it. I have a few boys that already have bookings for this summer and as far as November.

I hope this helps. As you can see, this is my first response on the boards here, but I received a few e-mails late last night and just wanted to set everything right. Thanks!

Mike

Steven from Maximum Escorts has been known to respond to negative posts about Maximum. Since he limits his posts to specific complaints, his comments are few and far between. I agree, it would be nice if we could hear from agency representatives from time to time.

To all who have posted on this thread, you may be interested to know that I have spoken with Mike from Campus and the booking has been made. I found him to be very personable, professional and everything that you would expect from a professional agency. Indeed, Campus returned a long distance call I made earlier in the day. I suspect many agencies would not do that....Campus did. This, I assume is a measure of how far they will go to accomodate a client. Mike's posting on this thread was good in that he clarified his agencies response to e-mail, his policy in booking clients and the question of "how early is too early"as it relates to his agency is answered. Job well done.
