Is it just my (bad) luck, or are a goodly number of escorts

apt to fuck bare nowadays? Over the past few years, it

seems like about 1 in 4 escorts wanted to fuck me without

a condom (I stop them and request one). Oftentimes, even

though they may advertise as tops, they come unprepared, and

I have to supply the protection. In Los Angeles recently,

one 'top' came to see me and brought nothing more than his

car keys and the clothes he was wearing (a classic example

of the bare essentials for life in L.A. ).

 

What have other people's experiences been like lately?

In the last few years, I have had a few close calls in Germany, Italy and U.K. Seems many younger guys either are uneducated or don't care. In Germany, the most problematic areas are the gay saunas, as on a good number of occasions, there were some very aggressive bottoms trying to impale themselves on anything that was stiff - whether covered or not. Same in Italy, unfortunately.

 

In U.K., on two separate occasions, escorts came to my room completely "unpreparaed" - one tried to top me without a condom, and as soon as I realized it, we had one hell of a tussle in bed until I convinced him I was not playing hard to get, but did NOT want to be topped by him unless he had a condom. So, having learned those lessons, I now leave plenty of condoms and lube out in evidence before the escort arrives (and discreetly hide it when the room service comes). The cantakerous (but very well-meaning) doctor here to respond to the recent rise (pun intended) in barebacking and escorts:

 

1. True to life we are seeing an increase in HIV infection rates among men in Europe. This runs counter to the trends in the United States in general. However, there has been a recent upswing in HIV cases reported in California, New York and Chicago particularly among younger men. This may be due to the false belief that we have cured or stabilized the disease and younger gay men ignoring the risks. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

2. The long awaited HIV vaccination is still years away. Most of the clinical trials surrounding an HIV vaccination have not proven clinical efficacy to the point where the FDA would approve any product for use in the general public. Once again folks--a vaccination for HIV is YEARS away.

3. If you have an escort that refuses to follow safer sex practice guidelines despite your personal wishes--look for a different escort. I would be VERY careful to avoid escorts that list barebacking as a service on their website, in their advertising or if mentioned in any reviews on this site or others (not that any other sites compare to this!).

 

Sorry to be long-winded, but it looks like I have to go on the HIV educational warpath again!

I have had two experiences with escorts who did not wear condoms. The first was literally a rape scene: I told him I would cooperate in being fucked (which I really didn't want) if he would wear a condom, but he was much younger and bigger than I am and I think it turned him on to terrify me; luckily, at least he didn't cum. Rod, that point is well taken. I do find it more shocking for an escort than for a client to want to bareback... after all, the escort is the pro. I see lots of barebacking going on but I was unaware that it's happening in escort/client relationships too. Call me stupid & I'll call you good-looking

I have to agree - yet again - with MrB. I have often wondered would I be responsible in "outing" an escort who tries to bareback a client? Inasmuch as I am totally opposed to any form of outing, I remain quiet.

 

And yes, I know it Europe again that many clients want it bareback... here AIDS awareness is somewhat lagging, especially among the young. So, I repeat to us clients... bring your own condoms!

Whether or not they are already HIV+ should be irrelevant... you can never assume or really know for sure that someone is HIV-, that's why we have a duty to ourselves to always ALWAYS practice safe sex.

"Safe sex" is not safe, it is only safer. Accidents can always happen under the best of circumstances. If you have safe sex with guys who are known or suspected to be positive you increase your risk. Conversely, if you limit you safe sex to those you believe are probably negative, you reduce your risk. I agree you should always practise safe sex.
