Interesting thread on how many clients a gent sees per week. Perhaps the real question is how much do the top guys (you know what I mean!) earn per year?!?

We all have our favorites, and can do simple math: the fee times 7 days a week, 2 times a day per week, etc. Could it be these guys are paying more in taxes than we earn each year? (one the for accountants!)

 

Here's the question, how much do you spend each year on casual/paid companionship? Let's hear from one and all. . .

Over the past five years I've averaged about ten escorts per year, at $150 to $300 per experience, so I probably spend about $2000/2500 per year. Considering some people's hobbies (and I do consider it basically a hobby), that doesn't seem really excessive.

I don't know how much escorts make, but in the year 2000, I have met 35 different escorts, many of them in several repeat performances. Nothing to brag about...it can be even pathetic of sorts. I second NYObserver: maybe I should start thinking of getting a life, but I've had SO MUCH fun with my boys! And the year is not over yet: still two months to go! More encounters in the making...

I realized how shallow it was of me to post this question without offering my own response. I agree that this is a hobby, and see my encounters as an evening's diversion, no different than an afternoon playing golf. I may go a long period without diversion, or may pigout as I do when I hit NYC. Typical 2 night stay can include a seeing some of my favorites or auditioning a new one, plus a trip to the Gaiety for a late night snack (only after I've already been to the Stage Deli for some real chopped liver) All in all, I've maxed out this year at close to 4k. I can only regret spending about 200 or so. Gotta thank HooBoy's site for making my entertainment dollar go a long way.

All of my escort encounters have to be in cities away from my home town for a variety of reasons. Besides my own travel and hotel expenses, I often fly a cute boy or two to that travel destination also. So if you add up all the travel expenses and fees for this year for the several trips and multiple boys I have hired, I think the price tag is somewhere around $20,000. And you know what? It was worth every penny. Thanks is in large part to this site, which made pretty much every single one of those encounters a positive one.... something that wasn't a given in years past! Interesting thread. Don't know how I missed it until now.

 

Like so many, I shudder to think how much my hobby has cost me and I do consider it a hobby. I can go into any bathhouse in town (we have 3) and get as much as I want any time. But my hobby is spending intimate time with a gorgeous young man. [shrug] I go through periods where schedule/travel prevents me from hiring but usually hire a couple times/month.

 

Haven't been doing much with the $150 local talent of late because I discovered that the more expensive pornstars that parade through town are much more satisfying, but I still have my local "regulars". (With a new one coming over Monday.)

 

Conservatively, I'm probably spending at least $5000/year.

 

The year 2000 has been very good to me so far. Haven't had a really "bad" experience (although I learned to always ask in advance if the boy is allergic to cats :-))

Interesting question. I actually keep an Excel spreadsheet so that I know what I'm spending. Every time I spend more than $100 for a sexual event, it goes in the list. (So, for example, a trip to the Gaiety just for eye candy doesn't get listed.) I also have it automatically extrapolate my pattern of expenditures to tell me how much I will have spent at the end of the year if I keep spending at this rate. At the moment, the spreadsheet tells me I will have spent $18,678 by December 31, (So far, $16,535 on 71 events, an average of $232 including tips.) Almost $10,000 of that (so far) is on my one regular guy at $250 a pop (so to speak). Another $3,000 of it is for erotic massages. The rest is spent on out-of-town affairs and me wondering who else is out there. I regret very little of it. I write it off as sanity money. Without spending this, New York City would drive me crazy.

Well, how funny! NY is right.... I could have had my new Jag instead, but I will wait for next year. But I don't think I would have traded my experiences for the world. KJ - It seems to me that if you spent all of that on any one escort, he would be yours full time, a kept boy instead of an escort. But, then, you wouldn't get the variety. On the question of how much it takes to "keep" a boy, that might be an interesting thread in itself. I can only go on what seems reasonable to me, and I can't imagine anyone in New York City living on $15,000 a year. I'd think $2,000 a month to be an absolute rock-bottom mimimum here. And now we're starting to get out of my price range.
