Anytime you pay for sex, it will probably be illegal. There may be some question as to what is sex. Is muscle worship without penetration or cuming sex? Probably not but it depends upon the mood of the particular judge. I was recently with a young BB and as I was sucking him he said "what I do really can't be considered sex, can it?" I said "the President of the United States is in complete agreement". But he is the Pres and a lawyer and look at the trouble he got into. So there is no line that you can draw that will be 100% safe. But if you call the escort or pick him up in a bar, there seems to no inclination on the part of the police to seek you out, and you are probably safe. If you pick up a hustler on the street, the danger is much greater as the police do make an effort to stop it. The misdemeanor punishment is not great, but it may be embarrassing to you.

It is not legal in California to pay another person in return for any sexual contact. Massage is, of course, perfectly legal, but only if it does not involve any touching of the genitals.

 

In short, if you are interested in paying someone to perform any of the acts that people commonly envision when they use the word "sex," know that doing so is a crime.
