I used the services of an escort in Chicago a few weeks ago and it was an incredible experience. However, ever since that night I have had an incredible itch down under. I'm not sure I got it from him, but the fact that it appeared so soon after I saw him and that I've never had this problem before makes me wonder. I'm almost positive its not crabs or jock itch. Any one else experienced this or have any advice as to what it may be? Itching is really the only symptom--no other lesions, blisters, etc.

It could be scabies--annoying, but not really dangerous. There's a doc in the house here, a very fine one, & I hope he'll weigh in soon on this.

Sounds like the crabs. Is suggest you go to the drug store and buy some of the shampoo for that purpose. If you can't find it, tell the store clerk your son picked up head lice in school. It may do the job, and if it doesn't, no harm done.

Dosing for the crabs whether you think its them or not seems to me a good precaution. Have you considered ringworm? Certain athlete's foots remedies (I regularly use Tinactin whether I need to or not.) are good against more than just athlete's foot.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-14-00 AT 08:16PM (EST)[p]I have heard that just sitting in a bathtub of water for a long time (30 minutes) will kill the crabs. Try this if you haven't already gone to a doctor or pharmacy. Just make sure you wash EVERYTHING (towels, sheets, clothing worn) or they will come back.

Thanks for the advice, but aren't crabs and the nits, actually visible, so that you pretty much know it when you have it. Don't see any of those. Don't know much about scabies. Are there any visual signs to that. Hope no one's getting grossed out too much by this thread.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-14-00 AT 11:59PM (EST)[p]Sometimes they can be hard to see. Have you used any new "lubes" or lotions in that area? Baby oil makes me itch down there unless I get it ALL off. Try the bathtub. Nothing to lose.

I agree it's probably crabs or scabies.

Crabs, well you can ussually see them, they are tiny black spots that look kinda like an ingrown hair, until you pick it off and examine closer... then you see the legs!!! ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

They are pretty small so it's sometimes difficult to see them, but look really closely.

Scabies, well these are more discreet, but harder to get rid of, they are tiny, not at all visable insects that burrow under the skin and lay eggs..... gross! Scabies can become a huge problem if not treated, becuase they don't stay on just one part of the body, they spread. I believe the same treatment can be used for both, but I would recommend doing it twice, once and then follow up a week later with the second treatment, even if you dont' have any signs. You want to make sure you catch any that hatch.

kida disgusting I realize, but an unfortunate part of life.

kind of a right of passage: )

the post about sittin in a bathtub for half an hour....well this will NOT work!! so don't even bother.

You will have to speak the the pharmasist in order to get the treatment, as most drug stores have the products behind the counter. So make sure you are very clear on what you think it may be, and get the appropriate product, don't waste your time trying to be discreet, just do it and be rid of the buggers.

I am really sorry about your itching problem and I hope that you get rid of it soon! Your posting made me wonder--if you are quite certain that the problem stems from this one particular escort, did you confront him about the crabs/scabies and did you post a review of him on this site warning others about his suspected condition?

Hey there -- it really sounds like scabies especially if there are no signs of crabs. First, look it up on the internet just for your own information; there are many detailed web sites that offer information that you should be armed with for your own benefit. Second, you need to treat this like you have contracted both crabs and scabies and the treatments are different. Lindane Shampoo for crabs and Lindane Lotion for scabies; both prescription drugs. I think the best doc to see is a dermatologist since they tend to treat these things thoroughly and your sure to rid yourself of the tiny livestock. Some guys do manage to treat themselves successfully but it can be tough getting rid of scabies.

I had similar problems last spring.Thinking it was crabs, I treated myself with A200. When that didn't work, I suspected Scabies. Since you need a prescription for scabies, I went to the doctor and told him I had scabies. Well, he said that I didn't have scabies but that I had a fungus infection (similar to jock itch). He gave me a prescription for an anti fungal cream and I used it. It cleared up and now, like some of the above posts have said, I use over the counter anti fungal creams and/or powders regularly to prevent a recurrance. All of the above recommendations (except sitting in a tub for 30 minutes....never heard of that) should be tried. Treat for crabs. If it doesn't work, see a doctor and he'll know what to give you.

Itching for an Answer? Just take care of it and move on :)

if you are

>escort, did you confront him

>about the crabs/scabies and did

>him on this site warning

>others about his suspected condition?

I am sorry, but this is really messed up. Do you honestly beleive that this escort is walking around with crabs and just passing it on without a care? I am sure that he was just as appalled as his client was when he realized. Escorts see many people, and things happen. Crabs, clamidia, the clap....these are all things that can happen to an escort, and therefore his clients. Its a hazard that both parties have to deal with. But, if you were to post something like that, you would ruin that persons career very quickly, and to my eye is more vengeful than helpful. Just call that escort, and tell him that you are not placing blame but he should check himself out. You may have actually picked it up by trying on clothes (it does happen, as those pesky eggs dont die right away)...you just never know, and how terrible would that be if you ruined this person that you had a fab time with when it wasnt even his fault, or even that it turned out that you gave it to him?

BTW, Scabies borough under the skin. the best way to tell if you have them is to look under your nails, you will see little black lines. Its not hard to get rid of, but the proper medication is perscription, I beleive. Its one of those things I had to learn about in pathology in massage school.

RE: Try This!

For the medics around here, does Lotrimin powder spray for Jock Ich (over the counter) do anything for crabs and scabes? (I got a rash in a Sydney steam room. Lotrimin took care of it -- can the bugs survive the spray?)

In the US shampoo for crabs is available in most drug stores without talking to the clerk. Rid and Nix are the most common brands. Primarily sold for head lice. Try it first and go further if it doesn't work.

Saturday was a bomber, losing 28-41. Hey, there are still plenty of games left. Looking forward to vs Michigan on 11/4. In between that I'll be glued to HooBoy's site.

now we're talking...football!

got to love the hurting that Northwestern gave to Michigan State a few weeks ago. being a diehard Notre Dame fan, I had to put up with a lot of crap from Spartan fans. it's great to see Zak Kustok having a great year. I thought he could be a great quarterback for ND, but he made the right choice. of course, I'm loving the hot Italian rookie now stepping under center for the Irish, the pride of Jersey, Matt LoVecchio. also good to see Jeff Roehl playing well. Northwestern has done quite well with ND transfers, but be careful of Jovan Witherspoon - not a team player, but still a great athlete.

now, I have to interject my escort story. I went to the ND-Texas A&M game Labor Day weekend and after the game made the short trip from South Bend to Chicago and met with my favorite guy in the windy city, the incomparable RIDGE. (http://www.muscleservice.com/competition/ridge.html) Well, I sat in the sun and got fried and Ridge applied aloe gel to my burning skin and started to kiss me to cool me down, but he only heated me up instead! :)

can't wait until my next trip to ND for the Boston College game and the "post game" show I'll be sure to have with Ridge!! }>

RE: now we're talking...football!

Written as only a true Domer would. I'll be out in Chicagoland in a few weeks and was looking at John from the Agency to take out for a test drive. On your post, however, checked out Ridge, and as he appears to be over 6, 8 and 30 (he meets the criteria), I might have to try him as well.

Later.

PS. The Eagles by 3.

Eagles by 3?? You must be sniffing to many poppers to make that statement. My dear Traveller, you may be wise in the ways of the world of men for hire, but we have now entered my true area of expertise. The Irish owe BC from last season but more importantly, have a strong defense to shut down the inconsistent Eagle offense. O'Brien could be looking work after this season.

As for Ridge, feel free to e-mail me [email protected]. Good info to provide for you. :)
