A new Health Status feature in the About Me section has been introduced, this feature will allow you to optionally indicate your health status to other users, HIV and COVID19

As far as the HIV status goes it's kind of funny since they are basically admitting then that people hire on there for more than just a massage. If I'm hiring for just a massage its of no concern to me if they are HIV positive or not.

Oh yes I got a message from Rentmasseur about that recently. It’s a good idea. I’ll put my status on there, both Covid and HIV.

People do hire on the site for more than just a massage. Most of my clients from there want more than just massage. If they’re receiving oral or want to suck me then they’ll care about sexual health. The clients that care about these things are the ones I like. The clients who have disregard for their sexual health are not so welcome.

I'm HIV negative and fully vaccinated, and I've indicated both on my both RentMen and RentMasseur.

However, I'm not sure the HIV question is fair.  I would definitely encourage clients to ask providers individually about their status if they would like to know.  But I feel for those who are positive, aren't comfortable being dismissed out of hand by posting it for the world to see, then either lying or leaving it blank which brings its own problems.  Huh.  Have to think about this one.

My instinct is that "what is your HIV status" is a fair, private, question (even though, yes, people can and do lie), but this feels almost like a strong-arm tactic.  And yet, hyporcritically, I don't feel this way about the COVID status question.

If they are going to ask about HIV, they definitely should have "Yes and undetectable", with a link to what UNDETECTABLE is, as an option.

Yup… I’m all for it… A provider doesn’t have to put anything if they don’t want to but, if they want to it’s there. If you “need” to it’s there. (Sometimes “need” is a real thing).
 I put my stats there in order to allow prospective Clients the information they may want/need to decide whether or not my stats meet their needs/concerns.

It is weird that it being on RentMassuer, that they’re asking about HIV Stats. RM I understand. RM also has it on their site for it, and yes I put mine up.
