RadioRob Posted August 17, 2021 Share Posted August 17, 2021 Was in FLL this weekend… hit up all the normal spots and it was business as usual with the exception of a couple of notes about LeBoy. 1. The club (at least the inside) will be closed starting 9/1 for 3-4 weeks for major renovations. They’re going to be moving the bar, revamping VIP area and generally redoing the whole inside top to bottom. The talk is the outside will still be open for drinks but still to be confirmed. Goal is to be reopened for the start of season in October as snowbirds make their way back. 2. Apparently on Thursday they removed the curtains in the back after someone was caught doing stuff they should not be. (I heard the dancer managed to bring the curtain down and revealed what was going on.) That policy lasted through Friday when there was going to be a revolt. By Saturday curtains were back… and remained on Sunday. Poppie Posted September 7, 2021 Share Posted September 7, 2021 Labor Day Weekend. All of the bars and restaurants were VERY busy along Wilton Drive. Have thought about getting a condo in the area. Could be dangerous 😈. Found business to be as usual at both LeBoy and Johnsons. Construction has not started at Leboy. They plan on staying open the entire time. Johnsons was it's usual very busy, very hot, very fun club. Sunday night stopped at Boardwalk for a snack about 8pm. Lyft pulled up and I thought .. Hmmmm ... are they even open? Ate outside at the bar with only 1 customer besides us. Went inside to use the mens room. Andreas is still bar tending there. Always good to see an old friend. One "dancer" and 4 customers. What a ghost town. At least we have a ton of fond memories of that club from years ago. Then it was on to Johnsons. The remodel that I mentioned in my first post in this thread never ended up happening because of permit issues. That back patio was never permitted, so they had to remove it. So it's now just an open space that they've fancied up a bit. The bar for example is not permanent. It's a mobile spot and they bring everything in/out each day. There is a popup covers they use if it rains, etc. It's actually pretty nice. If you want to see more of what the patio looks like, there is a video on that FB page. https://fb.watch/9K7H7A-oZz/ The patio was a little different from even the video that was posted the last time I was out there. Because it's modular now, they can literally move things around and change how everything is setup very easily. In the inside, they've added a pole to the main stage (so there is now one in the front and back), and the VIP room (not the lap dance section) has been removed. mikefl81 Posted December 21, 2021 Share Posted December 21, 2021 I’m down in South Florida for the holidays and hit up LeBoy, Boardwalk, and Johnson’s (the trifecta?) last Saturday. Hadn’t been to any of the clubs since December 2019. Here is my report: LeBoy: started here, arrived around 10. The upgrades look great, newish looking stage background, upgraded bathrooms. About 15 or so dancers throughout the night. Vast, vast majority were twinks, maybe 2 slightly more athletic twinks. The dancers seemed more interested in talking among themselves than actually working the room and talking to customers. I always like to swing by LeBoy and hope they finally have one or two muscle guys but not yet! I do appreciate that LeBoy constantly updates their IG account and showcases their dancers. Boardwalk: was here for literally 3 minutes. Walked around the bar, checked out the dancers, not impressed one bit. I saw 5-6 dancers…. Literally the same faces I’ve seen there for years. No new talent. I recognized the same (now) early 40s dancers that should have retired years ago. No more than 15ish customers there. Kinda depressing BW has gone downhill. I had such great experiences there and enjoyed way too many private dancers. Maybe it will recover but seems unlikely. Johnsons: By far the best of the night and as packed as I remember it. 20ish dancers, all athletic to big muscle guys. Lots and lots of new talent; recognize 3-4 guys from my last visit in 2019. Most of the new guys were Argentinian, Cuban, Venezuelan, or some other Latin. A few new white guys, including adorable Sawyer from CA. Fun night overall but Johnson has the best talent. RadioRob Posted December 30, 2021 Author Share Posted December 30, 2021 I’m actually typing this from LeBoy right now. I managed to sneak down to FLL for New Years. The dancers turn over quite a bit (both here and Johnson’s). Since I’m down once a month or so, it seems like half the guys are new from my last visit. Overall I like the club. It’s a great spot to drink, not deal with any judgements, and no pushy dancers. The dancers tend to spend more time with those that take care of them (that makes sense) but it’s not Johnson’s where it’s more about the stage set entertainment. Both have their place and a value. I’m leaving for Johnson’s in about 15 minutes and know I’ll have fun there as well. LeBoy is more of that “wholesome seediness” (I have more “interaction” here than other places) while Johnson’s is more of a sit back and watch the eye candy place. Both are a blast. I’ve arranged for the moderators to come down to FLL at the end of January… I plan to make sure they get the full experience and have a great weekend. I typically don't go to LeBoy because I'm into bigger muscle guys and so I know I'll encounter something in my range at Johnson's and Boardwalk. But this past Sunday they had ChiChi LaRue and the porn star Jesse Stone in visiting. Jesse is my type and I have heard CHiChi plenty to know I'd enjoy a set there. So I convinced my host (who also doesn't enjoy the normal fare of LeBoy) to do a pass by. We stayed for about half an hour and I have to say that if I lived there, I would make LeBoy an occasional stop. The majority of the guys weren't my type but there were a couple of guys that just looked like regular college age guys that could have some fun.
