Couldn't "Mannerisms" be construed as gender expression discrimination?

Reality check:

People discriminate.

Even woke-ass lefties have things that appeal and do not appeal to them. That's just reality. This word "discrimination" is misplaced when you're shopping. People like what they like.

And yet, imagine a review-website wading into those shark-infested waters, nowadays.

It's vitally important that, in the U.S. at least (I'm not sure about laws elsewhere), the masseur's livelihood NOT be put in jeopardy because of erotic, sensual or sexual talk. The NY State licensing board, for instance, will remove a person's license for what they consider "inappropriate" behavior even though the Manhattan DA said back in April 2021 that he would stop prosecuting prostitution.

Please be mindful of this. It's why THIS forum discourages that very kind of review.

I think most masseurs who also provide extra services are advertising as a masseur and not an escort for reasons of discretion. Publicly discussing intimate behavior beyond massage techniques undermines their business model and desire to avoid the legal gray area of escorting. I strongly believe that with masseurs, discussions of a sexual nature belong in PRIVATE conversation and not splashed all over a message board for the world to see .

Agreed.  plus YMMV right?  setting unwarranted expectations may not be helpful

I would suggest only including masseurs who advertise on MF/RM/A4A and even then, details about "extras" should not be very specific. Licensed professionals/spa workers, in the US at least, could have their reputations and/or licenses threatened. In these cases, I think vague forum comments and direct messages are best.

As I’m working on the finishing touches for the escort database, I’m reaching the point where I can start thinking about a similar setup for masseurs.

What sort of data would you like to see on the new review site?

Please!!! There is only one review site and it’s strictly for reviewing women. I would really love a site where we could review male therapists.

I know I'm late to this conversation, but I just had a bad experience with a masseur I found on RentMasseur, but when I tried to post my 2-star review, they rejected it (claiming I never saw him).

Even after I showed them pics of their own site showing me initiating phone (SMS) contact, twice, and even sending them pics of the conversation, they won't accept my review.

So, I wonder if there would be some way to review or alert about whole sites? Because right now, RentMasseur has lost all credibility in my eyes, that their reviews are meaningless.

Hi. It happened to me over the summer. But I tried again almost a week later and it worked. Give it a try.

Forget about wokeness/discrimination/....  The terms masculine/feminine  (or for that matter,  chatty/not chatty) have too wide a range of connotations to be useful in a review site.  Some things are best left to private messages.

This is probably a dumb question (these things may not even exist), but I know there are sites like MasseurFinder or RentMasseur where you can find a guy who works out of his house (or will come to yours). Over the years, I've become addicted to Asian massages (legit places mainly frequented by women/couples). Private rooms. Dim lighting. If you're lucky, the therapist will trust you after enough sessions and help get you off (usually me doing most of the work).

Anyway... I've had guys come to the house, but there's always that awkwardness when they finish... and they just hang around, folding up their table (or if you have one, you've got to wash the sheets, etc.). I've also gone to a couple of their home studios, but that's just weird as hell. My holy grail is to find an Asian spa that has a gay/bi therapist on staff. He delivers the same amazing massage I get today, but it's a he... not a she. I want to feel another man's hands kneading my ass... and "accidentally" grazing my asshole/balls with his oiled-up hands. In other words, it's more of a tease than a guaranteed happy ending. I can do that myself. I want a bonafide massage... but knowing it's a guy who's turned on.

Asian would be ideal, but it could be any place, I suppose. Does anyone know of a legit spa that has a male therapist on staff who is known to either be gay/bi or... has brushed against areas most therapists wouldn't?

Sorry for the dissertation. My thanks, in advance.

Note: I should point out that I'm in Orange County, CA.

Regarding RM and posting a review. I have had numerous conversations with them regarding reviews that got rejected. FINALLY someone there said to me:  You have to make contact with the person via their website - via the email button.  You have to send a message and the masseur HAS to respond.

Once you do that they will post any review - good or bad.

Hope this helps

I cannot agree more with SteveAgain. I had a horrible experience with a masseur from RentMasseur recently and the guy blocked me right after the massage so I could not review him. I contacted customer service and they said I couldn’t send a review when blocked. Even though I had plenty of emails with him on the website.  The massage was mediocre at best and he spent 90% of the time just doing my back. On top of everything else, the guy is a psycho. He somehow found my full name (!!) and shared it together with my cell phone number in some chat room for masseurs lying about my hygiene (and he sent me a copy, beyond psycho). As customers, we’re absolutely defenseless and RentMasseur would not help us in any way. They totally protect their masseurs. And I was a paying member for many years. DO NOT TRUST RentMasseur and protect yourself in advance from possibly abusive masseurs. You never know what they might do with your private information.
