Secure comms ... signal, session, whatsapp, wechat?

There are so many platforms out there that promise secure chats that won't be compromised...  what is the one most preferred?  I have signal and Viber, but few providers have it, so have been resorting to Whatsapp (in Europe/US) wechat (in Asia) for my comms...  would prefer to consolidate - is that even possible?

I still prefer regular texting via a burner number.  I suppose I could look at Whatsapp or some of the other platforms for security, but haven't seen the need for it.
