Today, my wish has come true,  Meghan OUT !

Ms McCain announced her departure from The View at the end of July.....

Often in loud disputes with Whoopie and Joy, my belief is she was fired, but the network is allowing her to say she is quitting..

She was a distraction IMHO, and now they need to make Ana Navarro a regular.

I really dislike Meghan McCain.  She has a much higher opinion of herself than she deserves.   She kind of reminds me of Megyn Kelly from Fox.  I always thought of Megyn Kelly as a very mediocre journalist. Her move to NBC confirmed what I always thought...there's no there there.  McCain is the same.

I will say I did respect Meghan for openly voicing her distaste for Donald Trump.  Kudos to her for being one of the few republicans that had the guts to do that.

Probably the only time I've ever agreed with Laura Ingraham was when she mocked Meghan McCain as a Valley girl gone awry.

I tune into Margaret Hoover.  She's awesome, and a pro-marriage-equality Republican.

Megyn and Mehgan are a couple of dopes in comparison.  But like I've said, smarts is not a prerequisite for successful modern Republicans.

is this why I'm hearing rumors about Tamar Braxton potentially replacing Meghan? lol

I doubt Tamar would be on their short list.  Intellectually, she's not on a comparable  level with the other women.   She might be good for 'Love & Hip Hop", but not The View...

The Whoopster has signed on for four more years.

I would have never guessed in the 90s that Whoopi Goldberg, Oscar winner for Ghost, star of Sister Act, would wind up becoming the next Baba Walters.... incredible how careers change over time.

‘View’ staff ‘banned’ from talking to Meghan McCain by exec producer

Meghan McCain’s upcoming audiobook memoir “Bad Republican” — and new columnist gig at The Daily Mail — apparently has her former boss at “The View,” Brian Teta, seeing red.

Sources told Page Six that Teta is so paranoid about her feeding the British tabloid news about “The View,” that he’s attempted to ban staffers from talking to their former colleague.

“Brian has lost his mind. What does he think this is? A cult, where everyone has to listen to what he has to say? We literally report into the news division. We’re being told not to talk to someone on the outside, who has different political views… who used to work with us,” a source on the show said.

And, for the record, “many of us are still in contact with her,” the source added.

But a spokesperson for the show told us: “This is not true. No one has been banned from talking to Meghan. Our focus is on the exciting season ahead and we wish the best for Meghan in her next chapter,” they said.

Another insider pointed out that McCain is still in contact with people at the show, and even continues to use the show’s stylist Fran Taylor. “Her mom [Cindy McCain] was recently on as a co-host. This is so not true. It was a warm reaction and there’s nothing but warm thoughts for Meghan. And she and Brian left on good terms,” they said.

McCain, 36, left the show in August after a combative four seasons as a co-host. Her upcoming memoir will “describe the moment she decided to leave and everything leading up to it,” another source told us.

“They have bigger problems than Meghan and the Daily Mail. They should be more afraid of Candace Cameron Bure saying she suffered PTSD from hosting the show,” the second source said, adding that McCain’s new column is more political, and has, “nothing to do with gossip. She doesn’t care about what’s happening at ‘The View.’”

The show continues to search for her replacement.
