I'm just curious because I am vaccinated and I was thinking of hiring someone but he is not vaccinated and it makes me a little nervous. Although I already made plans so it's like I don't want to cancel and be an inconvenience for him. I'm thinking...

Yes I care. I have been clear with my regular that I will only resume seeing him after he got the jab.  He got his in April same as me. I would ask the same of any new hire or hookup.  🤓

Thank you so much for responding. I really appreciate it. Maybe I should cancel and apologize. :)

During this month I have been quite interested in re-connecting with "providers."  I've chatted on RM with them and have asked if they've been vaccinated (vexed).  All have stated that they've been fully vaccinated.

Three weeks ago, I had an appointment with my favorite, go-to provider who's in San Francisco.  The day of our meeting I awoke early and begin to think about the later hours and our impending meeting.  I analyzed and analyze and as an end result thought that I would cancel, for I was not comfortable in meeting him in spite of both of us having been covid vaccinated.

I drove to San Francisco, checked into the hotel, called him to let him know that I had arrived, etc.  Later, when I walked into the very nicely appointed and designed lounge of the Howard Johnson by Hilton Hotel, there he was awaiting and looking as good as ever.  We left the room, and prior to our parting company, I leaned over and whispered in his ear that I was not comfortable in fulfilling our agreed to date and desire to cancel.  In the process I handed him his requested fee.  He showed disappointment as well as surprise in my forking out his requested fee.

He asked if I'd wanted to share a blunt with him (our normal prelude).  I agreed.  We left the hotel and wound up in our favorite spot that's not too far from the hotel, conversed and took in the very, mellow strain.  Minutes later we embraced and departed company.  I walked south of Mission to my go-to restaurant when I am in that particular area of San Francisco.  The venue was not its usual self, for there were only about eight patrons vs the hundreds who would have been there under normal circumstances.  In my euphoric state, I began to reflect.  [It was an unusual time indeed.]

To date [June 23rd 2021] I have adjusted and hope to begin to indulge in what I've missed for some one year and three months.  I hope to reconnect with my go-to-guy to receive the heaviest of action that I've missed and yearned for such a long time.  A week later or so,  I hope to meet a masseur  who wrote in his ad that he's received the vaccination and whom I have yearned to meet for some months now.  The  X pics in his ad are oh so friggin' alluring and mighty enticing, and his reviews are all very positive and complimentary as well.

We all have our different risk tolerances and in Covid this is especially true. I have tried to adjust my actions to the evolving situation of the pandemic and my own risk acceptance.

I have seen about six escorts in the last year. Some a couple of times. Last summer before we had vaccines but when levels were low where I live, I saw four escorts over an eight month period for overnights or weekends.

Then the winter wave came and still no vaccines so I went into hibernation. Saw my first provider three weeks ago when both he and I had had one shot. All went well. Now I have had my second shot three days ago so in a couple of weeks will feel more confident.

But I will still enquire about vax status of any provider I meet.

It is up to you on how to proceed.  Keep in mind that you may be leaving the escort in a lurch with the cancellation.  I am clear from the beginning on how I feel about being vaccinated - would not put myself in a position where I need to cancel an appointment at a later date unless the escort was untruthful about his vaccination status.

I only look at providers who advertise that they have been vaccinated now.

It's interesting how some people say they are vaccinated in their profile and others don't. I asked someone if they were vaccinated and they said yes but why not just put it in their profile? I'm wondering...seems a bit weird. :)

Well, if you want to have complete certainty he won't give you Covid-19, just pick a vaccinated escort. If I'm to assume you're in the US, where the vaccine is readily available to all, and most adults have been vaccinated, it should be easy enough to find someone vaccinated. Any escort in the US who's not vaccinated is pretty stupid health-wise, and if he's dumb about that, he's probably dumb about other things. If you really want only one particular escort, you have to assess a number of factors, such as how prevalent the virus is in your community and how frail your health is. Severe disease is extremely rare among the vaccinated, but I'd be extra careful if I were an old, obese diabetic, for example.

With the Delta variant quickly gaining steam in the US among the unvaccinated, there may be some shit hitting the fan for the unvaccinated, and I expect numbers to climb. I don't have much sympathy for the unvaccinated, though. I don't understand why some idiots think they're so much smarter than public health officials. More than likely it will be the uneducated who will succumb. Maybe it might purge some Trumpists off the voter rolls.

So I'd pick a vaccinated escort unless you don't have acceptable alternatives. Otherwise, assess your risk, considering your location's positivity rate and your health. Hiring an escort always involves some risk.

He said he will get vaccinated. I can ask for proof if need be. I canceled. I'm only going to meet someone who is vaccinated. :)

If vaccinations are important to you, then tell the escort you didn't hire him because he wasn't vaccinated.  Tell the client you won't see him because he isn't vaccinated.  Don't let the reason behind your decision go unstated.  That way more individuals will know that being unvaccinated is limiting their options.

Good advice. Just wondering--you have an ad that says you don't want to meet anyone. It's been up for months. Do you have to pay for that ad? If so, why do you pay that fee?

If you’re not familiar with Pierre then – SPOILER ALERT! – let me tell you that it’s a cautionary tale about a small boy, Pierre, who professes not to care about anything whatsoever. When a polite, but hungry, lion calls at Pierre’s home and asks Pierre if he may eat him, Pierre says, “I don’t care!” So the lion takes the boy at his word and swallows him whole. Fortunately Pierre’s parents are able to extract their son before any lasting harm is done and  – having experienced the trauma of being eaten alive – Pierre now cares about what happens to him. To quote Sendak’s final line “The moral of Pierre is: CARE!”

Oh shit, does it still say that?  Ooops.  I'm smart, but I'm not ambitious:  I'm not Kevin Slater 🙂 I'll change that in the next few days.  Is that RentMen or RentMasseur or both?

It's a children's book! Of course, everyone was happy in the end!
