Dubrovnik

Hello, everyone.

I booked a trip to Dubrovnik this summer and have been doing some research about the town but it appears that there is little to no gay scene at all.

If anyone has any recommendations, that would be helpful.

That was my experience when I had a week-long vacation there. The only way you can be sure of having some fun at night is to do what I did, and take a companion with you.

Agree about Zagreb. What about the Croatian Islands? I was there in 2013 not for sex though. A lot of rich tourists looking for fun. One can take a ferry from Split.

I know a couple of Croatian families who go back every summer to Dalmatia.  It looks incredible, and based on personal experience at dinners they have hosted, the food is DELICIOUS! Not to mention the plum brandy called Slivovitsa.... yummmm.

Not able to comment on the gay scene but Crotia and the island are amazing to visit. Did a week long boat and bike tour of the islands which was amazing. Spent every night on boat (30 people in total) and had most meals on boat but spent nearly each day docked at one of the islands and everyone spent the day (or half day) biking the island. Wonderful holiday! In addition spent time in Dubrovnik, as well as touring the reminder of Croatia and their National Parks. Highly recommend.

That's the series of lakes connected by waterfalls, right?  There's a lot to see in that small country.  I'd like to visit where Nikola Tesla was born if I could find it.  I think he was born in Croatia but was Serbian, if I remember correctly.

There's a new United nonstop from Newark to Dubrovnik i was looking into . Would have brought some of Czech friends now and gone over to the big resort in Montenegro everyone raves about. But then I found out, in spite of being open to Americans,  the vaccination rate in Croatia and Montenegro is horribly low. I assume there's a lockdown there.

I drove throughout Croatia about eight years ago. There's no need to pay for a cruise when one can do it on your own.
