Check out this amazing ad.

This stud is from the USA and is in Australia, maybe for the summer.  Awesome ad, and great email exchanges (the guy is smart and on the ball).  Coupla problems:  he wants advance payment by bank transfer before even meeting, and he has no reviews.

I realize:  red flags galore, but he seems credible.  I am thinking of offering him a partial downpayment through wire transfer for play in either Australia or USA (he lives in the east coast and is a protege of a well-known kink porn star).

Advice?  Be candid.  Andy2

Many here have related over the years how paying in advance meant seeing their money disappear.

I’d say: Don’t do it. Never pay in advance.

And Yes, I ignored the general advice once myself. A guy I knew intimately from having 3 overnight dates with him asked for help with “cash flow” before we had a week-long vacation together. It worked out OK, but I wouldn’t advance money again.

How do you know that he is from the U.S.?

I did not see anything in his ad that says he is American.   Did I miss that part?

If he is American, I would like to know how he got around the severe restrictions Australia has in place for Americans to visit there because of the virus.

That fact, together with his advance payment requirement is not only a couple of red flags, it screams of a con job.

Good point.  I know he's American because we have exchanged a few dozen RM emails; he lives on the east coast but has been in Australia most or maybe all this year.

He is very engaging on email--but that would be consistent with a scam by an experienced and clever scammer.

"Entry and Exit Requirements:

  • Are U.S. citizens permitted to enter? No
  • Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry? Yes
  • Are health screening procedures in place at airports and other ports of entry? Yes

Australia has enacted a travel ban on all non-residents and non-Australian citizens entering Australia. Individuals may request exceptions to the entry restrictions at this link."

How did he get around the travel ban?

He seems like an eloquent scam especially considering the advance payment requirement.

Do you really think Australia would allow that American to enter Australia for tourism but deny entry to others?

Hilarious- - - -

The ad is now gone (rentment 404) which is confirmation that the claims of the provider were bogus in that he claimed to be an American in Australia (despite travel bans against Americans visiting Australia).

I wonder if he reads this forum.  If so, he saw that his bogus claims of being in Australia were rejected by reality.

In any event, it is good the OP did not send any money to the fake.

Possibly, but if he's changed his handle, a 404 message would come up too.

Two way travel between the two countries is not possible without an exemption, but if he had been here since March last year, he would not be prevented from travelling back to the US, he just couldn't come back here again. So, (based on what I remember about his ad) he has been economical with the truth, it's just not clear which part of his story is untrue.

It's theoretically possible that he is able to travel to Australia through some sort of exemption (being part of a film production is one such option), but I don't put much store on that possibility.

His new listing...... https://rent.men/CollegeBoiXXX/

The "new" ad makes no mention of his being an American.

That sales pitch failed on arrival.

Given the extensive news coverage regarding travel restrictions between the U.S. and Australia his supposedly being an American on tourism became obvious that it is not so.

Hey guys, thanks for all the debate and info.  Based on your advice and my common sense, I passed on the deposit and the potential hook up.

This guy is a bit of a mystery--but in RM chat with me he opened the door (inadvertently) to the possibility that he is an Aussie married to an American who has a presence and an apartment in Washington DC.

So he may be the real deal.   I explained to him the overwhelming aversion Message Board Members have to deposits generally, and big ones especially.  He was nice about it and offered to cut the deposit to just half, but I did not budge.   He says there are a lot of no-shows when there is no deposit--which is a fair point and the subject of another thread on this Message Board.

Just. Stop. Please.

Don't try to make this bullshit plausible for other members here.

One last comment about this guy and his ad.

As noted in the title of this thread, it states:

"American Muscle Boy in Australia (This Summer)"

I have visited Australia and I know when their winter is (beginning June 1 - ten days ago) It is WINTER now in Australia.

Not correctly identifying the season of the year is another red flag that indicates or suggests that the person placing the ad is a fraud.

It is good for forum members that we "sniff out" these fake ads.

Likely, many forum readers get saved money and aggravation by reading the various inconsistencies in various ads that we find and expose.

Over and out.

I thought he looked familiar and it dawned on me that I think he's Gage Santoro, Billy Santoro's partner.  Just google them for the details.  Too much drama to get into here.

Billy Santoro started advertising on Rent Man in Sydney around Christmas 2020.   He pinged in the next suburb to me, but said he was living in the CBD.

The messages I had with him were pushy and not motivating me for a visits
