Hi everyone,

I was wondering where most of your clientele stems from?

I know that RentMen is super popular, so is LeoList here in Canada that is. I've looked through MintBoys and most of the accounts are either super fake or inactive.

Has anyone had any success on Seeking Arrangements? Or even Grindr (knowing that ban your account, if reported lol).

Also, has any client ever recommended a provider, meaning word of mouth.

I would say that 90% of my escort clients come from Rentmen

The other 10% is a mixture of Mintboys, Friendboy, Grindr or Scruff (which I dont even advertise at all) But my HIGHEST payed gigs came from Friendboy!

Seeking arrangements wouldnt take my profile idk why...

But if we were talking about Massages it would be 50/50 with Grindr and RentMasseur since I was living in a city with a lot of travelers.

That makes sense, RentMen is super popular. I heard Grindr just bans users if someone reports them for having a dollar sign or emoji in their name or bio.

Thanks

There are so many different guys on seeking. But it’s hard to determine legitimate from illegitimate. I look at the dates of when the person joined.
there are so many who just joined with less than 30 days on the site. I stay away from you been contacting that type of person. If the person is going on there more than a year it might be worth contacting them.
my threshold is over 21+

But I have not hired off of that site yet.

Rentmasseur is good, so is UKadultzone for advertising but most of my clients are referrals or via google searches for my website. I get around 1700 unique visitors to my website each month. I’m quite selective now about where I advertise.

Holy moly! That's a lot! Yeah, Grindr is trash.

Ah, makes sense. The men on SA in Toronto are either fake or inactive most of the times. I made a profile once or twice, and talked to a couple of dudes; however, they were from other parts of the world.

Rentmen is by far my biggest generator of new clients.  The bulk of my revenue, however, comes from clients who originally found me on Rentboy, which speaks to the power of retaining your base clientele.

Revenue source 6/1/20 - 6/3/21:

  % revenue % bookings
rentboy 62% 62%
rentmen 19% 22%
scruff 5% 2%
laterslater 5% 5%
porn 5% 4%
escort referral 1% 2%
adam4adam 1% 1%
grindr 1% 1%
forum  >1% 1%
friendboy >1% >1%

Hi honey, I live in Toronto and I mostly hire from Rentmen and Rentmasseur. Years ago I used Canadianmale.com You are right in your observation of most profiles on Mintboys being flaky and inactive and I've actually had a couple bad experiences from that website. I believe it comes down to the reviews. If scammers can post a free ad there without reviews to make them accountable, well what can you expect?

I personally dislike Seeking Arrangement because my perception is that it's crowded with cat-fishers and most folks there are looking for someone to take care of them in the long-term which is something I'm not interested in for the heavy investment in time, money, and emotional energy. You're basically focusing all your efforts in 1 single person and 1 single person alone, while on Rentmen I can just browse the menu. Also, that would be the reason why there are more providers on Rentmen than on Seeking Arrangement, because there is more business on Rentmen. Otherwise escorts would not continue to pay for their ads there.

You can use the search feature to look for a couple threads that contain tips and tricks on how to protect your account from being banned on Grindr. I've hired a couple guys from there. The experiences were nice and affordable, but this means that you might not expect to charge there as much as you charge on Rentmen. For some reason, the guys on Grindr usually have for lower rates, but then again they are not paying for being there and they are not being reviewed, so I suppose that compensates for the lower rate.

Thank you! Yeah, I suppose the guys on Grindr are mostly looking for quick cash. I think I'm most likely going to use RentMen.

For grindr it's pretty easy to just make a profile on your pc using bluestacks or another android emulator, that way if you get banned it's pretty quick to just make a new account

I must say: I used the verbose emoji because it looks like “wow”, and I’m wowed at the results you collected, along with still retaining rentboy clients (hint hint webmasters for adding a wow emoji to the new platform 😉

Most all of my rentboy/backpage clients  have either been lost or retained 🤷🏾‍♂️

The only sites I use now in 2021:

Rentmen

RentMass

Adam4Adam

Satellite sites include this forum, Twitter (and Twitter is like the art gallery crawl of porn/escorting...mainly for display/getting name out there) and my JFF platform. Very rarely I’ll use Grindr, and only in certain markets (sleepy towns with low competition and a wealthy base).

That said, I am content with the level of responses just from those 3 main sites. I used to lament on the fact that websites were being taken away, but in reality: it starts becoming a money pit when you’re paying (rebill discount not included) $99 on men4rent (defunct), $99 on rentboy (defunct), $99 on RentMen, and $99 on a combination of A4A, Craigslist and backpage. No matter how much I could make, $200-$400 a month on advertising is excessive considering flakes, hotels/travel, and overall dead days. I’m okay keeping these websites out of my pockets.

I know there’s also jock2go, but sometimes it gets to a point where you’re paying to be on the same sites that clients are going to be looking at over and over anyway. I’m sure there’s a perk to being seen over and over...but I like to concentrate on 2-4 ads, really work them and build them, and stay on top.

When you have 5-6-10 ads floating around on the net, it can be hard to keep them all up to date. I tried mintboys, but after getting a really weird client who bullshitted me for weeks (fake pics, fake name, fake job description, emotionally needy, liar, never paid a deposit and flaked) AND THEN became verbally abusive, I haven’t had the desire to return to that wasteland.

Oh yes Twitter I forgot that. I think I do get a lot of hits to my website via Twitter (well I know I do; the analytics tells me I do) and I agree Twitter is like a gallery for my service and I can post ‘thirst trap’ style pics and videos which brings eyes to my page. The more hits I get to the website and the better I make the SEO then the higher I get on google when someone searches for sensual massage in London.
The longer I’ve been established the less I need to advertise so now I keep it to a couple of prime advertisements on high traffic sites like Rentmasseur and rely on repeat clients and referrals for my business. I’ve a lot of contacts in the business so I get referrals from them too and I send clients their way too.

My very first hire was from written publications (personal ads on the back few pages etc.).  Yes times have changed.

Rentboy was probably my favorite before its demise.  There was also another one I didn't quite like as much, but it's long gone and I don't remeber the name anyways.  My current go to is rentmen.  Have used grindr, craigslist, friendboy.  I am currently trying out seeking, but I don't really look at using that site as a traditional search for an escort, more of a search for a continuing relationship.

Currently my escort hires have either originated from rentmen (after asking for info here on this forum) or the message forum (as long as I can visually see their presence on another website like rentmen or twitter.

I do not do onlyfans or the like.. just not my thing or interest.  I don't think I could ever get adam4adam to work for me lol.

The few times I've hired off grindr it's been guys who have onlyfans, it's not 100% but usually the ones who have it are more ok with being hired.

You're right about these being the big 2 in Canada. I've worked in Toronto and advertised on both. In my experience, RM attracts fewer but higher quality inquiries, and leolist a higher volume but more of a mixed bag. You could be successful advertising on either one alone, or both. I usually advertise long-term on RM, and activate a LL ad when I'm travelling and/or on days when I have lots of availability and would like higher volume.

I find LL seems a bit sketchy, maybe bc the site isn't updated lol! But I guess it's worth a shot, if business is slow for RM

Thanks :)

Yeah, it's a bit of a funny place, and you can do fine without it. But if you can get used to selectively answering inquiries, there's money to be made there.

Adam4Adam... it really just takes a certain approach. I don’t waste time chit chatting on there, but it’s still a useful resource. I once winked at a profile on there (I don’t generally contact people to solicit but may send a hi or see who’s viewed me.. but even then) and he later booked a $400 session.

But again, it’s rare. I used to like it when it was only $10 a month. It’s $30 now. However, at $10 a month I noticed there was more “sketchy” providers advertising. But If it goes up any more than $30-$40, I would likely move on. I probably only get 1 or 2 bookings (out of dozens of messages) each billing cycle.

Yeah, that sounds shitty :(

I meant to say the app lags on my phone haha! But, you sir; provided me with expert advice!

Merci :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I would be interested in escorts opinion of Planet Romeo. The radical changes they made to the site a few years ago, to put in the vernacular, stuffed it up completely. It is the  most user unfriendly gay site I know of. My favourite London escort used to get most of his clients from Planet Romeo but encountered a dramatic drop off after the changes and had to start advertising on Rentmen as well.
