Any recommendations from anyone on a first time strip club visit, particularly to this place? I'm interested in cost, whether they take american or canadian money, what exactly goes on, how the dancers are, if there are privates... whatever info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot.

Canadian money is worth a LOT less than U.S., so bring Canadian money or change funds when you cross the Ambassador Bridge. Look for toll booths with neon signs reading "Change." You can convert unused currency on the way back.

 

Dances are $10 Canadian, but this amounts to only $6 or $7 U.S. Why not save money for additional dances? You should, however, bring lots of single U.S. dollars for tips. Canadians have coins, not bills, valued at $1 and $2. You can't easily lay those clunky coins on dancers' dicks.

 

In my experience at least, dancers are not interested in escorting. They will lead you on with, "Maybe...If I get to know you better." There is a back, private room which costs $25, I think, to enter with the dancer of your choice, then so many more dollars per song. I don't know what goes on in there since the price always impressed me as too high.

 

If you go to Happy Tap concentrate on enjoying private dances on site. The boys are accommodating (though not genital touching is allowed) and mostly hot. Just don't go expecting anything more

While the dancers generally look good (though not exceptional like many in my favorite Canadian hang-out, Toronto's Remington's), they are very apprehensive about any sort of touching that might happen in a lap dance, and forget about reciprocation. Hoping for more action, I did pay the high price for the private room that wolverine is referring to but found it was the same deal, only in private! I got the impression that many of Happy Tap dancers don't seem motivated to please since they have regular customers that they basically come for, so any extra money they make off non-regulars is nothing more than a welcome extra. All in all an OK place if you want to have a break from your regular strip club, but if you want my advice, drive a few hundred kilometers more to Toronto to enjoy a vastly better experience in the unparalleled Remington’s (and its infamous back rooms ;-)).

I basically agree with the two prior posts but would add that dancers from Toronto and Montreal often visit Happy Tap and this vastly improves the experience. I told one of my favorite dancers at Campus that I was from Detroit. He immediately told me he had been to Happy Tap and the next time he was there he would call me--and he did. I used the private room with him and it was good--but expensive. Some of the local dancers do privates but far fewer than at Remingtons or Campus. Since the club is now under new ownership it's improved but the seating arrangement is tight. All in all it is a good experience--better than most strip clubs in the U.S.
