Most guy clients pay cash and paypal, cashapp, venmo have only become methods of payment in the last years. Before they didn't even exist.

yes, as @Benjamin_Nicholas says cash is by far the most commonly used way to pay.

Seems reasonable even if your client is not on the short list for SCJ. I always wonder why in hell someone will pay with CC for something that borders illegality?

It’s not illegal here. Totally legal. I have a police liaison officer who I can talk to. Used him once when a client threatened me.

I wish I knew how to find ATMs that dispense 100’s. A local ATM at least dispenses 50s.

Same. I’ve at least found an ATM locally that dispenses $50 bills, and Chase ATMs (sometimes) will dispense $100 bills. I’ve also had Wells Fargo tellers exchange a couple hundreds for ten $20s once. Sounds like from this article (below) that grocery stores may exchange $100 bills occasionally as well (will have to try that sometime as I hate carrying a wad of $20s for hiring).

  • 2 weeks later...

Most escorts would probably use a p2p service like paypal or venmo and unless the client has an alias set up on the account somehow the escort could get their real name which they probably don't want and probably don't want a paper trail.

And the escort probably doesn't want a paper trail anyway since they probably aren't paying any taxxes on it.

This has been proven here in the forum to be an invalid (judgmental even) premise.

Do you think most escorts claim their income? I'm sure a lot of LMT's claim some of theirs who rent a studio or office.

I've been a CPA for 30 years and have yet to hear of someone reporting money from escorting. It would be fun to do a return for an escort though, I wonder what code would be used on Line b of their Schedule C.

There are a few. If I were doing an escort's return, I'd use 812990-all other personal services. 812190-all other personal care services or if they are a licensed massage therapist, 621610-home health care services are also acceptable.

If they are an LMT, they are probabaly reporting some of their income. A lot of porn stars probably get 1099'd for the porn studio work they do and don't have a choice but I can imagine someone escorting reporting their income, it would be like a drug dealer reporting their income.

My response was specifically about which schedule C code I would use for an escort if I were doing their taxes. Nothing more, nothing less. If you don't think there aren't people licensed to do certain occupations not reporting their income, you would be wrong.

for some reason I don’t like atm‘s that dispense 50’s. I like to only have 20’s and 100’s and 50’s seem awkward for me ?‍♂️

Many - most - all Bank of America ATM’s give 100’s and you can choose the mix of 20’s and 100’s. Like @MikeBiDude, I’m 99% cc for daily life and close to 100% cash for hiring. I have used cash app a few times for SA guys (they seem to think it’s less transactional). ?

When I go to the bank teller, I get all my cash in $2s and $50s

I've had too many clients months later dispute charges or file a reversal with CC payments or the apps because,as was one client explained, "what are you going to do, say I was paying for sex?! Have fun countering my dispute". I even made that guy sign a waiver saying he wouldn't dispute cause I had a bad feeling about him. He still got his money and I got hit with NSF fees being basically told "the customer wasn't satisfied". Four months after the appointment he filed the dispute. If you want to dispute something, I don't know anyone who would wait four months. You do it as soon as that transaction is made or as soon as you get to a phone.

I prefer CC or other payment apps, cash is too risky, especially if your having to take out a bunch of twentys, stuff it in a wallet or pocket and walk to the car. I feel like eyes are watching me every time I take out a large sum of money from an ATM. I’ll only do it if the provider insists.

If you think cash is an fail safe way not to get caught, think again....the Hollywood madam had a little black book and back then the Johns only paid in cash....online there are no secrets unless you are a skilled at erasing everything from IP addresses, phone numbers, locations from every app that you use, picture that you take, chats that you engage in....you can be found, no matter the precautions.

I haven’t been able to find a B of A that dispenses anything but 20s.

I still ask for the $1 coin at the teller window. Because I am a smart ass! ?

Do you mostly get the President $1 coins, or Sacagawea coins? Congress tried to replace the $1 bill with the $1 coin to save money in the long run. The public loved the Presidential coins. However, the law states that the mint cannot produce more Presidential $1 coins until all of the Sacagawea $1 coins are distributed, and no one wants the millions of Sacagawea coins in storage.

I read that they've minted new $1 coins in the last few years with various themes such as space exploration, WWI and WWII, and Early Americans. I'm wandering if you've seen those, or if they're mostly Sacagawea.
