It happens to me more when I watch TV and see an actor or actress who is decades older than when I first saw them, and think 'God, he/she has gotten so old' as if I don't have graying hair and hair growing out of my ears.

I do webcam shows from time to time, and it's not unusual for viewers to greet me as "hey daddy." It still takes me by surprise sometimes but then, yes, I realize that is my place in the world these days!

Do y’all remember the first time you were called “daddy”? I was 42, and just started getting some gray at the temples (I never accepted it was gray, rather I was turning blonde). I had hired a terrific escort for a romp, and in the zenith of passion, he started moaning, “oh, daddy” over and over. WTF? Dude, I’m not much more than 10 years older than you! But, I rolled with it. So now that I’m more “blonde” than brunette, I’ve learned to accept it.

I visited San Francisco in 1979 also! I was living in New York at the time. They were both great places to be young but legal (barely) then.
