Hello, I've seen rates going up recently.

And I was wondering what's a rate that you feel comfortable paying for a massage with sensual/erotic elements?

In my case, for incall (where I go to the masseur) I'd say 120 to 160 per hour.

180 starts feeling is expensive.

100 is a great deal :)

These rates are for Southern California area.

And less than 100 it becomes suspicious. Maybe is strictly therapeutic or a scam.

I've received quotes for 200/hr incall for massages

That's too much. Those are escort rates in my opinion.

Rates have been increasing in some markets. But when I find someone who is good, consistent, and reliable, I‘ll go along with a slightly higher rate. With so many underwhelming and questionable providers out there, finding a great masseur is more important to me than staying within a strict rate range.

In NYC it is hard to find a quality massage experience for less than $160 an hour or $210 for 90 minutes. I haven't seen my two regulars since April even though we have kept in touch and I supported them, but for them I pay their going rate with a smile on my face! :D

Actually, some of my favorites in NYC charge just under that:

Which is really smart, they get fans like myself who book any chance they get and always leave a nice tip.

You can often find bargains* if you're not comcerned with  the masseur's age. Some of the older guys keep their rates low to keep busy, and they tend to be better skilled in my experience.

*note I am not suggesting you attempt to negotiate down, I'm just saying some of the older guys have lower base rates.

My guideline is $2/min here in SF even though many providers charge higher. My experience is the higher the fee, the worse the experience. Mostly those who don’t know how to massage charge more with the intent to fleece as much and quickly as possible.

Yeah. Also the more he looks like an Instagram model on his pics … the higher the chance the massage won’t be as good.

In Dallas, rates aren't too bad; I have 2 semi-regulars, and both charge $150 for 90 minutes for an incall. If I look to schedule someone who's visiting, I'm OK with $180 or so because I know they have expenses to cover -- but I've learned the hard way to visit here and get some reviews. Wish I had known about this site way earlier; it might have saved me some $$ wasted on inferior therapists.

Some of the older guys give the best sessions, both therapeutic and beyond.

The OP's sense is mine as well.

I am in NYC and 150-160 is what I normally see for sensual/erotic massages. There is one provider I see who charges 140, but I don't see anything below that anymore. When I do, I'm a little suspicious.

I absolutely will not pay more than 160 for an hour. I used to make an exception for Apsawn who charged 170, but he provided the highest quality experience I have had to date. (warm towels, various scented oils, a heated table during winter, great technique, etc.) I am not able to receive massages as frequently  anymore, so I really do hold true to this limit now - no matter how alluring the masseur may be. 😄

I am happy to say that I pay one of my regular masseurs a whopping $110 for 90 minutes of expert therapeutic massage with sensual elements.  He's been in the business full time for 26 years and it is his only profession, which he performs in his beautiful loft condo in downtown Houston.  As you might imagine, he has as much business as he can handle.  I also have a regular traveling masseur who comes to Houston once a month for a series of regular house calls.  I pay him $140 for two hours of therasensual massage and have been doing so for 5-6 years.

I am less happy to say that I sometimes fall for a PYT as I did last week, and paid $150 for an hour of little more than oily mutual touching and HE for me.  Worse than that, a couple of months ago, I paid a very hot-looking young man $160 for an hour of face-up shoulder-rubbing while looking at his disappointing nakedness and attempting to pleasure myself.  I do have my weak, unwise moments!

Great list - thank you @EVdude Will bookmark for next trip to the Big Apple.  Anyone with such a list for LA?

Personally I find it’s easier to choose a capable masseur at a reasonable rate than to choose a full-service or BFE provider.

The difference is that I keep my eyes closed when getting a massage.

I so agree!
