I'm aware that some of you are getting massages already, but 've seen on this forum people say they would feel comfortable returning to getting massages once there is a vaccine and treatment. Is that realistic? Suppose there is a vaccine supported by the experts in the spring (March/April) as is being estimated, how many of you would realistically be ready to start getting massages again at that time? Or would you want to wait several more months beyond then?

Once there is a vaccine i will be ready to resume life as I remember it. May give it a week or so to kick in. ?

I suppose we should consider the possibility that you will need more than one jab over a period of time to be vaccinated, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Dr Fauchi will keep us in the loop. ?

I wanna be first in line for the vaccine. First in line for confirming titers after. First on text to book a massage. I have gotten a few massages from a masseur I trust. I commute and gets tested every 2-3 weeks.

My feeling is that a "vaccine" is going to be similar to our existing flu shot. Meaning, it wont be a guarantee you won't get it, but it will lessen the liklihood and lessen the severity if you do get it, but it isn't going to be a real "vaccine". Then what?

Ya pay y’money, ya take y’chances.

Right now, I feel that any vaccine would be better than none - whether it just helps alleviate the symptoms of COVID, keep one from dying, or prevent one from catching the bug. I would love to be able to have some of my old activities back - some as mundane as going to the grocery store without fear. That notwithstanding to be able to get a massage (or more) would be such an amazing gift.

I keep living my life. If you are too old/with chronicle deceases or you take care about your beloved ones who are too old/with chronicle diseases or something like that - be very careful. If not - live your life. Covid is not HIV or Ebola. Not even close. 80% will not even feel anything. I’ve been all over in the US not long ago, I’ve been in Mexico not long ago, I’ve met many masseurs and escorts not long ago. Everything is great with me and life is good. Will you tell me that “I will bring risks to an occasional near-by old lady in a grocery store”? C’mon! I will stay far from all old people for not putting them in risk and will wear a mask in public. Risks to co-workers? No, I don’t even meet any of them these days. For myself on my relatively young age and with my good immunity I don’t see any big risks. Masseurs and escorts who keep working feel the same. I talked to them many times

I would still urge you to be careful. There are many cases of younger people dying from the virus or having some sort of long term debilitating effect. Don't assume that because you're young you'll be OK. The full risks of the virus are still mostly unknown.

That being said, I'm not saying not to live your life and this isn't just directed towards you. Certain activities like going to circuit parties are still very high risk and having a cavalier attitude about it could potentially lead to life-long issues.
