Has anyone here ever worked as or had a pool boy? Wondering if anyone’s experience is anything within miles of the story we’ve seen in movies: of a young, muscular man, often shirtless, who glistens in the sun as he works and is either ogled by or outright pursued sexually by older pool goers or owners.

ring a bell in anyone’s real life? I worked at a pool once and I gotta say that the lives of those pool “attendants” were absolutely nothing like that (they actually had to do pretty dehumanizing things at times, ie clean the bathrooms)

Long time ago, during the summer fresh out of college, I worked at a hotel in a large Midwest city. The pool “manager” was a hot guy, early 20s, golden tan, you get the picture. The innkeeper was a MILF before I knew what the term meant, and he spent a lot of time in her office, obviously discussing chemicals, cleaning, etc. What gave it away several times was the lipstick smeared on his chiseled cheeks and the shit-eating grin. When we moved to Palm Springs, we inherited the pool man used by the former owners of the house. He was in his early 40s, very handsome and built, but he never took off his shirt, because he was straight, and he said some of his customers made him uncomfortable by sitting and obviously staring at him as he worked. He worked for us for 13 years, and he looked as good in his 50s as he had when we moved in.

Ah good ole sun-in. I so wanted to be a blond back in the day but was afraid of Sun-In after my older half brother had a bad experience with it. Hope you find some pictures, I've always been bummed I never have any of me shirtless back in the day. There's one of me at six, lol. And there was one from a fraternity canoe trip that I loved. And the infamous shirtless pic at the company picnic someone stole off the bulletin board before I could take it home.
