Helping someone very different get fit is a different matter.

Very true @Penn7. I always found it motivating to work out with a handsome trainer, especially if they were half-naked and willing to do more

…are they really making ends meet in nyc just by offering “personal training”?

I can’t speak to the current time @Bryan Dube…but my guess is that some do more.

Certainly in 2008-2015 I knew plenty of male models who also worked as trainers. Most were gay-friendly. Many responded well to a discreet and polite enquiry about further work/services: I used to ask if they would do ‘training at home’. I’m open about being gay so I’d say ‘I’m single right now so I’d enjoy your company‘.

Male models are used to getting attention from gay men, so I got to know quite a few models rather well in those years.

I am very interested about this too, because I see a lot of super well known models who have thousands maybe hundreds of thousands of followers, and I’m just wondering are they really making ends meet in nyc just by offering “personal training”?

If you've got a couple hundred thousand followers you can make a decent amount of money just from Instagram, at least that was my understanding. If they're tagging brands in their pictures they are getting paid for that.

That’s not what I’ve been told @sniper. A few years ago, it was true; some people could make fairly decent money, but no longer.

My source is a good friend who is in charge of social media for a major multInational consumer-goods company. Now only the very best influencers can make a large (seven figure) income by promoting products and services. Companies now track very closely which posts translate into actual sales. Payments to other influencers have fallen steeply.

not only instagram but youtube too, obviously not all them can reach it but some make a living out of social media and call themselves influencers, they could also make money from advertisers.

If they’re in DC, they are welcome to hit me up ?

YouTube/google has also really slashed payments to its content creators, from what I’ve heard.

Capitalism in action! The more guys do the more competitive it is.

Only the good ones survive in onlyfans, not that I'm comparing porno models to instagram but some are as hot or hotter.

(Just in case someone freaks out I love capitalism)

I think you should be contacting them and see if they're available. You might need to be screen by them because I'm sure they're picky and won't meet anybody.

Speaking of Onlyfans - model Nick Sandell shows a lot (feel free to PM me for details). I also follow a couple of other hot models, Michael Yerger (who was apparently on survivor) and Jay Gould. Both of their basic OF pages are free (as are their Instagrams, of course)?and then they try to up-sell you various photos &/or videos.

I find Michael Yerger very attractive but I wouldn’t pay $15 per picture on his only fans. I found a lot of his OF photos on twitter already. ?

I subscribe to nick Sandell. It’s only worth it for so long. I feel like his onlyfans is run by an agency. He’s way too responsive (for it to be managed by him alone). I’ve tried to get him to discuss hanging out in person, but he won’t have any of it.

Yes, I assume there are staff/an agency. Maybe a very very lucky personal assistant who gets to witness all of the photo & video shoots? lol

No, Nick is very discreet. Maybe you could suggest drinks in a hotel bar? If you wait until he’s in financial difficulties again, he may be much more willing. Over time, my experience has been that str8 guys become more receptive to keeping a gay guy company when they have little money and large bills to pay.

I don’t have any inside info but this is in line with what I’ve noticed to be a trend the last couple of years. If under 100k followers they seem to be scrapping by with their online training programs and ‘use my code at checkout’ sponsorships. I think most of them have other jobs as well. Up around 500k and they seem to make an okay living, but it’s really only the ones with 1M+ who are doing really well.

I’ve noticed a lot of them taking breaks to ‘work on themselves’ and even the big names seem to be a little ‘off’ upstairs due to their body dysmorphia and ‘supplement’ use.

It will be interesting to see what happens to some of these guys over the next 10 years when a new generation of studs take their place in an already saturated market.

Especially OF must be painful to keep up with having to constantly improve quality and content to be more competitive and retain subscribers.

Same with IG, it's like a vicious circle game where their self-worth is subjected to the size of their following. Prone to Anxiety and Depression.

They get endorsements and are also paid by Instagram/ YouTube when they have a large following and get a large number of likes. Many influencers have their own camera people and market themselves as a brand.

Most don't make much money. But a few make a lot - mostly on sponsorships and product endorsements. My photographer does shoots for some high-profile IG infuencers - a very few of them have 7-figure deals. Mostly the sponsorships are for discounted prices on a product line if you will promote it. Most of those influencers on IG don't actually live that way - they are just good at looking like they do. They don't own the luxury cars they pose next too. The fabulous condos were borrowed or rented for a single day, etc.

My IG profile is starting to attract enough attention so that I get a few offers of sponsorships in a week. I don't even bother to respond to them.

Somehow I don’t think it’ll take 10years. There are more handsome guys and new muscleboys coming along constantly.

I agree. I wonder what will replace OF in a couple of years, and whether even IG will last. Certainly the marketplace always demands “fresh meat”

I always wonder what motivates people to speculate about the misfortune that could befall people currently enjoying the limelight. It is true that nothing is forever, but if someone is enjoying fifteen minutes of wealth and/or fame in social media, what, really, is wrong with that? What motivates someone to salivate over their coming downfall?
