Any of you rented your house out for porn movies?

What was your experience? Do they do a good job cleaning up afterward?

Never did. Yeas ago when I was living in an apartment someone left a note under the door asking if my roommate and I would be interested in letting them shoot a film but it gave no indication of what type of film. Assuming it would be porn we didn't bother.

Yes. We own a large vacation home, with tons of acreage, in a bucolic area. The person who inquired was very upfront about their needs and intent. Normally, the renter is required to leave the cleaning fee at departure, confirmed by the caretaker. In this case, we required a larger prepaid fee for the rental. We also requested that they not show certain specific rooms, which they obliged.

 

In the end, the film crew cleaned up as good as our cleaners, and we ended up giving them back the fee. It was surprising. The liaison was renting for a known, though not large producer. I won't name them as we do want to keep things discreet. The decision was greatly debated between us, but I was pleasantly surprised. We have had worse luck with people planning normal private parties.

It would have been ok, but I was working full time then, so the timing wasn't great. I do still enjoy watching it and seeing it on tube sites, I share the scenes with close friends and giggle. The fee was pretty good, but really in line with our normal charge for large parties.

I never received payment (I didn't ask or expect...was letting a friend use my apartment for a shoot). Like said previously, it was very tedious and the "actor" was a quite-in-demand, gorgeous, built porn star. It was fun and I was surprised at how much of the time, absolute silence was required while shooting (even silencing phones). But, at the end of the long day as the crew was packing up, the porn star whispered to me, "If you'd like a session with me, it's on the house." Well, let's just say I was a happy feller...and I walked a bit "funny" for a day or two. Great memories!

A bit off topic but about 30 years ago I was out with two friends one night while on a Florida vacation. Some guys we talked with at a club told us that they were going to what was then Club Miami (now Club Aqua) as there was going to be an afternoon porn shoot. After extensive debate we decided to go and sure enough there was lots of video equipment, and around the outdoor hot tub they arranged a makeshift set. It was too early for much of a crowd. The director/producer used two names for his two lines of videos, one with popular models of the day and the other more down market. A few hot guys were milling around and a big argument soon ensued about previous non-payment and a demand for upfront payment. Some of the models left and a few others, joined by most everyone there, went into the playroom. It was a great big group play party. I had barely even seen my buddies naked before and here we were playing with each other and others with abandon.

 

If the shoot had taken place it would been a much less eventful afternoon.

I was going to once many years ago. I had offered it to a guy that I casually knew that made amateur porn that I was a fan of. The thing was he called last minute to come right over when I specifically had told him I needed advanced notice to clean up and stuff and make sure my landlady who lived in the building and very curious about my life and friends was out of the way.
