Masseurfinder.com is dying.

If you have paid your attention years before this site was THE king among other websites. However, nowadays just a few masseurs ad their ads each month. In some cities, there are no masseurs .

I believe this website is too expensive for thier members, and it doesn't allow to reavel all options and photos ,which a masseur want to share.

It's so sad , to see how websites around are changing. Nothing is forever in this life.

masseur finder SUCKS. Used to be oK. Then they started making subtle changes (therapeutic vs. relaxing). Then it became one category. Then the no shirt pics. Then no reviews. Now no customer support even.

I believe it is due to the crackdown of internet porn and trafficking. They are trying to dot their I's and cross their T's. RM is a European based company so they don't have to adhere to US laws.

This is not confirmed mind you, but makes sense.

Agree, but that loss of revenue could pandemic kill them, like many restaurants that will never reopen, etc.

My hope is that if we ever get back to the way things were there will be a new crop of masseurs anxious to jump start their part of the economy. I hope the same will be said of restaurants and retail. (Side Note: Amazon pay your fair share of taxes damn it!)

it was decent & legit at first but then became basically an escort site.

Are you really talking about MasseurFinder?   Shirted men, and politically correct text don’t scream escort and the majority of the masseurs that I’ve seen from MF are anything but escorts. RentMasseur is much more escorty to me.

Give them a break. MasseurFinder is a U.S. based company, so they have to do everything possible to avoid being shutdown and this:

https://www.queerty.com/rentboy-ceo-jeffrey-hurant-checked-prison-20171018

That link didn't work for me, though It looks correct.

The article is still up on Queerty.

One can go there and find it.  Hurant has been out of prison a while.

I have never found any reason why the DHS targeted a provider site for gay clientele but left straight sites alone

Any kind of political discussion about that would have to move from the SPAS & MASSEURS forum.

Just to clarify, the government went after other websites.  Backpage got shut down, in large part due to allegations (which seemed to be true to me) that they did very little to stop the placement of ads of youth being sex trafficked; I think the trial against its owners is occurring as I write this.  Myredbook was also shut down.  Craigslist felt the heat and basically eliminated certain categories of ads in order to stay in business.

Recently I noticed one of the masseurs I see frequently no longer had a listing on MF but still has his RM listing up. I asked him about it and he said he stopped paying for MF because it was almost triple the cost of RM, had lots of restrictions, and didn’t allow clients to directly post reviews.  It sounds like MF implemented changes in response to U.S. law, including many restrictions on content, yet still believes their service is worth a premium at almost 3x price of RM. It’s no surprise they’re losing masseur listings!

I know from my two of my favorite masseurs - who no longer advertise on MasseurFinder - that their customer service has declined seriously since Fosta-Sesta was enacted in 2018. Before that, MF had spotty customer service for their masseurs also but it got markedly worse after the passage of this law. So, partly as a result of changing US laws but also because their customer service s*cked to begin with.

For those who have acknowledged it - yes, the change in US law, intended to curb sex trafficking and harmful, illegal activities from occurring through the internet, did serious damage to favorite sites like Craigslist Personals and Masseurfinder, which was the most reputable of the massage sites. MassageM4M disappeared around the same time.

You'll note massive changes in PornHub this year after the NY Times article of late 2020, written by an anti-porn conservative, which falsely equates porn with sex trafficking, rape videos and child pornography. The conservatives want to shut down the porn industry and legit sex workers and porn workers are harmed as a result, with us being caught in the cross-fire. Mastercard & Visa stopped processing payments on PornHub as a result of this, meaning the creators who have consensually made their own porn on the site can no longer get paid, destroying thousands of livelihoods during a time when we have all been glued to our computer screens.

I don't follow any site that does not have some form of user-submitted reviews.  Although the RM reviews are less than perfect, they are better than nothing.

MF stopped allowing users to submit their own reviews. Masseurs are only allowed to post 1 review per month. They are self-submitted reviews, generated by the masseur's customer, and the masseur must then submit the review with the customer's contact information.

Way too easy to fake reviews with this system.  As bad as RM reviews are, this is far worse.

MasseurFinder in South Florida has great masseurs that don't advertise on either Rentmasseur or Rent.men.  I've engaged the services of some I know to be escorts having appeared in gay porn, but others are sensual masseurs. I don't think you could know this from the vanilla photos. I always check MasseurFinder to see whose coming South.
