"Foundation" on Apple TV

Just saw this teaser trailer:

Coming next year as a miniseries on Apple TV.

 

I have my doubts. Foundation is a classic of science fiction, but I can't imagine it's going to be very interesting on film.

I just finished the first episode.  The special effects (like the space elevator) are really cool.  Enough to get me to line up the 2nd episode for tomorrow.  😃

Apple has taken on a daunting task.  The book was 'very big' in that the story was told over hundreds of years with little character development.  Overall I like it, it has already been picked up for a second season, but it may only loosely follow Asimov's original text.

And so glad to see a gay actor - Lee Pace as 'Day' - in such a great role.
