I have discovered some great places in Phoenix, Seattle and California but wondered if anyone has other top recommendations to share anywhere in North America. Video booths were banned in my county since the early 90's so I never experienced one until a few years ago in another city. The other challenge is that most were in mom and pop adult stores and those are being bought by one of the big adult chains like Lion's Den and Adultmart.

 

I've only been to one adult theater but it closed a couple of years ago and it was a bad experience, very dirty, older unattractive and overly aggressive patrons. When I'm traveling I usually check out cruisingforsex.com which has listings that include video stores and theaters.

Knob Hill Theater in SF was one of my favorites but sadly it's gone. There was also one way out in the country that was really sketchy but drew a lot of farm boys. It was really dark, run down, but that was part of the appeal. It was bought and shut down by Adultmart which sucked and I still had tokens for it. One rare place is XTC in Akron, Ohio. Pretty large and recently expanded into the space next door so they now even have a bar. Lots of booths, decent movie selection, and a $10 flat fee to get in. Another one I didn't have the courage to do was in Kentucky in the middle of a dead outlet mall. $20 to get in but it looked huge and there were tons of cars in the parking lot and no one was in the adult store so you know where they were at!

It is an old huge theater in Queens for mostly Blue collar. But since I started hiring I stopped in my late 40s>it is almost a Historical Landmark, no other in NYC

I think the old Tomkat Theatre, now Studs, is still open in WeHo on Santa Monica east of Fairfax. http://www.studswesthollywood.com/. I've been going there when I'm in the area for years and it can be fun although like much of L.A., too much "stand and model" and not enough action sometimes. I tried Fair Theatre last year a few times. It's big, cool, probably one of the few true adult theatres left but 90% of the leeches there are oral bottoms. And the couple of times I went it was the same bunch of the guys. Doubt I'll go there again.

As for a list it depends on what part of the country you're in. I've only done sites in the midwest but have friends who have visited other locations in the south. As for age and race the place I prefer is very mixed with a wide variety of ages and race and very accommodating.

 

That being said my favorite is Roseland Resort in West Virginia. It's by far the most upscale in the region with a great variety of lodging choices. Tent sites, cabins, rooms with private baths. It has two bars one at the recently upgraded pool area and the main bar up in the town hall. A steam room, sauna, work out room, laundry, on site masseuse that people rave about. It draws a wide range of people from Columbus, Pittsburgh, and DC. The staff is mostly made up of local straight boys from the surrounding area but they are very nice and work hard to make sure you have a good experience. The owners are gay but they're unfortunately right wing Trump people which has lost them a lot of business int he past few years. I'm friends with them regardless and they do put a lot of money in keeping the place up and adding improvements. They also give a lot back to the community so I try and accept them for that. They are clothing optional everywhere except the restaurant, yes they have a buffet restaurant. The play area is either on the trail, which they have several amazing trails or the barn. The steam room also gets pretty busy. They have decent fireworks on the major holidays that can be a lot of fun.

 

Other good places to go are Sawmill in Florida which I haven't been to but want to check out. I hear it's got a pretty good crowd as well. I'd also recommend Freedom Valley which is in northwest Ohio just south of Sandusky. Nice property but not as remote as Roseland which is basically 30 minus up a hill from town. This can be a good thing as it's very close to Cedar Point which is an amazing amusement park with some of the best rollercoasters in the world. So you can stay at camp and make a day at the park. Freedom Valley's play area is in the woods and they have several glory holes and a BDSM play space. But the tent valley is the hot spot. They also have a great dance hall. They don't have a liquor license so you have to bring everything in unlike Roseland.
