1) Admire his entreprenurial spirit. Think he's identifying a new market, i.e. people who haven't had sex or otherwise been touched for weeks eager to hook up with someone who is allegedly safe/safer.

2) We'll see more of this, the shape of things to come.

3) Ad would be more effective if he posted when he had it.

Reinfection is very possible. We also don't have a stable antibody test yet. Strike three.

Just to be clear that article doesn't say that people who have recovered from COVID-19 are being reinfected. There could be issues with the testing or it could be that in some people the virus (or dead virus) is remaining for a while after symptoms subside. The fact that 140 of the likely thousands who have recovered and been tested are coming back with positive results is important to catch so we can do more research.

 

But it doesn't mean people are being reinfected and might even be expected at this point since we are still learning so much about the virus and how testing for it works. It sounds like scientists are studying this some more to see what's going on. Until then I don't think we can really make any real conclusions about the fact that a very small percentage (probably only 1-2%) of those recovered from COVID-19 are testing positive for the virus after recovering from the illness.

Hmm, when I used the term "admire" it was tongue and cheek, probably not the best choice of terms as I think about it. Just to be clear, I don't really believe him or buy that he knows what he's talking about. The claim to be in the "medical field" is vague enough to strike me as particularly bullshitty.

 

Still, going forward I think we'll see more people marketing their C 19 status as a distinguisher in a time when users of escort services feel deprived of sex/touch/human connection.

Hmm. I saw him once. It was an okay time; however, nothing about his personality, bearing, demeanor, etc., suggested advanced degrees in the medical field or any other field of study. He may have been a nursing assistant or lab tech at some point . . . he had a photo in a lab coat. If he is getting advanced degrees, he must be doing it remotely given the extensive travel schedules he included in his ad.
