Any good Netflix watches?

Recommended Posts

Bloodline - Recommended to me by a London escort. Set in the Florida Keys, it's the story of seemingly respectable family with a dark past - and, it turns out, an even darker future. It's one of those stories where the efforts to conceal bad acts lead to more bad acts and eventually spiral out of control.

Also Ozark Season 3.

Watched that a few years ago. Really engaging!

Finished Unorthodox. A lot to chew on. Glad I watched it.

I also watched Making of Unorthodox, which i highly recommend.

Afterwards, I did some internet research to get a better sense of Hasidic Jewish communities in Williamsburg, and then the communities here. Learned some things!

Of course did the Breaking Bad/ Better Call Saul/ Camino thing, repeating old BB I'd often forgotten. All must-see. Interspersed with The Office episodes for relief. Unorthodox was ok. So far avoiding The Crown and Ozark.

Peaky Blinders is the best long series I've found. I have to turn the English subtitles on though because it's often hard to understand Bummingham much less Irish Gaelic. (and boy was Churchill an s.o.b.).

Huge hack: If you get a cheap VPN (AVG from NewEgg) you can locate in Europe to a non-P2P city which avoids all the US licensing rules giving extra free seasons of shows on Netflix. Your Netflix log-in signs you into Netflix Europe automatically (after not believing you a time or two). It also gives many more language and subtitle choices (European). Plus many more choices. Of course you're doing this to protect your privacy, not to avoid copyright and licensing laws.

Wonderful advice @tassojunior. Several years ago I watched many episodes of The Musketeers on Netflix whilst in Malaysia. I got back to the US and never found the completion of the series. Haven't checked in a while though. I also once purchased a Passport membership to my local PBS station. I wanted to keep current with Masterpiece Theater and a few other things I follow there. None were available to me in Malaysia. [Frown]

Just watched the first two Hollywood. Interesting so far. There is a bit about a script being written about Peg Entwistle I always thought that could be an interesting movie. Also thought Clara Bow would have made an interesting movie as well. She was rumored to have had sex with a full college football team.

NewEgg sells the easy AVG VPN for $10 a year for 5 machines. (1st week trial with AVG is free). Bonus- you can read full written reviews on RentMan.

Funny side is you get a lot of targeted advertising in the language of the country you chose for a couple weeks.

I watch a movie on Amazon Prime yesterday called “I See You” starring Helen Hunt. Surprisingly good imho.

Sis has had some work done to say the least.

She's also featured in the current PBS Masterpiece Theater series World on Fire. She looks a lot better there.

I watched (Unbreakable) Kimmy vs The Reverend today. Loved it. Laughed a lot. It is an interactive production. If you need to get silly for an afternoon.....

Make sure to choose Jacqueline goes to Indiana

and watch it at least until they get to Frackwater. You'll be glad you did.

There are multiple endings.

I watched the Madeleine McCann documentary after rewatching everything else. It doesn't appear that they're any closer to solving the case.

Is it weird that I want to visit Praia de Luz now? Also, I feel guilty for noticing this given the subject matter, but male newscasters in Portugal are very handsome.

Thanks for the Dead to Me tip guys. I’m on season 1, epi 5. It’s really warped. Can’t turn it off.

The scripts are generally smart, it has fun twists and turns, and the acting is consistently good. I don't know why but the female investigator's vocal inflections are wonderful.
