I live in a crappy rural town, and our 1 grocery store permanently closed their doors due to this virus, they say. Suppliers didn't want to come all the way out here anymore. In a nearby town, there's lots of fast food restaurants, and companies like Doordash and the like do deliveries...or so we're wrongly told.

Problem is, people in the metropolis 2 hours from me go on social media to say that my town can receive food no problem. Who are these people?? The truth is, the delivery companies around here must stay within state boundaries, so deliveries where I am are not permitted. Over 90% of the business where I live is from casino revenue, which has been shut down for over three weeks and counting, including all of the restaurants within them.

I am very fortunate I don't work in the casinos, but also find it maddening that the big stores have "Senior only" hours, so if you're not old, forget it trying to get a basic need. My stockpile dwindles just like everybody else, but I don't think even the most pessimistic person could have ever predicted the nightmare we're experiencing.
