Well...I arranged a last-minute trip to Montreal last week (leaving Thursday and returning Monday). I drove rather than flying as I don't think its a good idea to fly right now. I decided I needed to get one final stripper trip in before curtailing all travel for what I expect to be months. I have zero future trips currently booked and I won't do any further travel until we are well past the peak of this virus. I assume that will be anywhere from 2-6 months.

I did have some lap dances in Montreal. That will have to keep me satisfied for months now. No other hiring either.

Good point... didn’t think of the rent clientele.

Yes. I am surprised to see the various venues in NYC still promoting their lineups as if everything is perfectly normal. Feels tone-deaf.

Yes... eateries and bars are reducing the max capacity to half their legal max capacity.

To our dear friends and customers.

After much thought and consideration and lengthy discussions with our venues we have made the decision to cancel Spunk Events for the next couple weeks, returning to business as usual - barring any unforeseen changes - on Thursday April 2nd.

The nature of our business is to bring people together and it breaks our hearts that we are in this current and unprecedented time. We realize this presents a hardship for our employees and dancers who rely on our three weekly parties for their livelihood and it causes us a great deal of anxiety, However, the current guidelines by government, local authorities, and the examples of other organizations in the private sector have helped us to realize that this is the right thing to do at this moment.

It is our sincere hope that these efforts will help to reduce the potential spread of this virus so we can all get back to normal as soon as possible.

The Monster and Pieces bar are open for business and if you feel so inclined to go have a drink, please do so. We understand the value of our community spaces to relieve anxiety and stress. This is a personal decision only you can make for yourself.

Those of you who know us are aware that we refer to SPUNK as our family - employees and customers alike. Sometimes families are faced with tough choices. We sincerely hope you understand the reasoning for this very difficult decision.

Be safe, be kind. This too shall pass.

Seems like pure greed and danger for the staff and customers of strip club to be open during this crisis.

We must yield to the experts until this pass's.

Every Facebook/Website I have checked shows strip clubs everywhere are closing during this disaster.

The only club I can find that is open is johnsons in florida.

Shame on you!

They are boasting on there facebook page that they are not in the towns mandating closing.

I flew back to MTL on command and cut short my Brazil trip where midweek all venues with gogos and trade were shuttering. Devastated to have left the best guy ever hired in years of travel there. Blew me away.

Arrived on inauguration of 2-week self/isolation law here up north.

Many guys in Brazil rely on their provider role for necessities of life and young family support. Many strippers here similarly depend on revenue, from dance and/or scort, but the trend is more that they are supporting an extravagant lifestyle with expensive leased vehicles. Many will move back to parental home and have no cash to snag the hottest girls. And no gym training coach budgets.

I think Stock has the live streaming on ventilator support and that is likely the best component to have cultivated to stave off total club death.

Will be interesting to see if dancers will negotiate bargain rates for in home visits for exhibitionism/voyeurism minus conventional contact. I can investigate after my release, that is, a different release than ... oh you know what I am getting at. Many will not want cam exposure.

I believe that the streaming revenue from the Stock Bar cam site does not primarily go to the club itself; I'm not sure that the portion that does would be sufficient to keep the club afloat in the absence of other income.

Good point. I am only really semi/interested and not keen to drill down to see how their structures are stratified. They are offering discounted streaming to assuage our withdrawal (for those that attend the premises). I am not sure if they are going to have dancers on stage for the exclusive component of streaming. That would likely depend on dancers’ willingness to forego the prospects of cubicle earnings. So not looking good.

That is why I am curious about whether performers will make a course correction. I have most of their IGs and can explore but not posting details here. Not my playbook. Even if a dancer explicitly requests I facilitate ... I won’t break the federal ‘morals’ law and incriminate myself viz quasi advertising/promotion.

I am not a huge fan of watch-don’t-touch but I have some financial means, reside centrally, and would pay a basic reasonable fee for a “tease” in vivo ... a more appealing prospect for some than delivering groceries at minimum wage $15/hr.

I have accepted sellers’ market for 30+ years and 15 years ago price tags doubled, then recession. Now may be a buyers’ market but they may be too young, immature, and overextended to accept such a radical flip with sanguine equanimity. Vids and stills are great for me, incalls a small cut above to break boredom of Netflix etc

Related to commercial sex and our health safety nets, all community-based Montreal STI testing and treatment programs are now shuttered, including PrEP components.

Gone the extra openness and sensitivity to lifestyle. Not that one would be inclined to do much play now, but if you had encounters prior to the crisis escalating... One must go to a hospital or find a PCP willing to assess and treat. Good luck with that.

I hope in future to be able to use my stockpile of tenofovir-emtricitabine that has expiry way off.

Exactly what happened to me during a humid late September weekend in 2017. Nothing like an American discussing his "case" to a french-spealing intake nurse on a Saturday night at 10:30pm trying to get on pRep and paying close to $1500 USD for the pleasure.

But as you know pRep is time-sensitive. I wasn't expecting the Taboo dancer/escort to starting topping me raw. Anyways, a costly lesson learned. But worth it in the end.
