Thanks for sharing the link AZD. It’s a little disconcerting that they don’t really have a gallery of pictures of the hotel, just of the rooms. If you are looking for a boutique hotel something close to the beach, might I suggest the Betsy hotel? I stayed there last week and it is a very charming luxury hotel with ocean views and a nice art collection. Great onsite restaurant from Tourondel. It is on 14th and Ocean and has beach access with attendants who will set up a chair, umbrella and provide towels. Very nice and accomodating. The website is https://www.thebetsyhotel.com/

Don’t know anything about the San Juan hotel, but I’ve stayed at the Royal Palm https://www.royalpalmsouthbeach.com/

 

Nice hotel, large assortment of rooms, older, refurbished, somewhat edgy decor for me, but shower big enough for two, and friendly staff. Part of the Marriott Bonvoy Tribute portfolio, so can use points, and the fifth night is free. It’s at 15th and Collins, with direct access to the beach. Right next door to the Loews.

 

I was thinking about possibly heading down there next week (it’s rainy in Hawaii now). Thanks for the info on The Betsy @cany10011 . Can walk over and check out the music.

Enjoy the jazz! Hope you have a safe flight (if you decide to travel). Definitely a nice departure from the dance music at Twist (had a few nice lap dances with an italian gogo dancer)...
