I would say that depends on the provider. You have to have a conversation with the guy of course.

 

One of the regulars i see is a bottom. He can top, but it's nowhere near his preference. However, if you ask and you discuss it, he may be wiling. I don't know how willing as I always top him.

It always appeared to me that if a top is really all that comfortable with bottoming he will just choose "versatile" on his profile. Otherwise if you choose a top/versatile thinking he will be comfortable with it I think you will be disappointed.

I'm not disappointed, quite the opposite, but I'm surprised. I've always thought (backed up by absolutely nothing) that it's easier for someone who identifies as a top to bottom than for a bottom to top.

My post looked like that, and that was not what I intended, so I edited it. I was just surprised. I'm a bottom, and two bottoms can have a lot of fun without penetration. If an escort is a bottom I wouldn't rule out hiring them but I would be disinclined to suggest that they change what they do to suit me.

I'm mostly a bottom. My confidence as a top is not that high. I don't feel I quite measure up to what can be pleasurable or exciting. Where as being a bottom I feel more confident and feel I give the most pleasure. I will top if asked though but I warn the guy who's bottoming about my short comings as not to disappoint.

Exactly, expectations must match reality.

 

Some young guys can top whoever asks them to do it for $... but others just can't get excited enough to top out of shape men.

 

PrEP has certainly changed things and made easier for bottoms to top. I always hated putting on a condom and have the guy walking around wondering "where are my poppers?".

Nearly zero. "Strict top" isn't worth testing, and "Top / Verse" to me reads, top, and verse if I like what I see, but probably no.
