I know this has been discussed ad nauseam in various threads and I too know that Daddys is a MUCH better source of reviews but, I'm just wondering how a guy can have 37 5 star reviews and yet 1 right in the middle that is 1 star and says pictures aren't accurate, etc. Is it just someone with an axe to grind? If there were 3 or 4 negatives mixed in it would be more understandable but 1 negative out of 37?

I've always sought to be honest in writing reviews and, to be fair, I've only written a positive review when I have been very impressed. Yet I learned from one escort that had great reviews he finally got a negative one from a client who was overly demanding and actually did damage to the escort's apartment. Sometimes a bad review could say more about the reviewer than the escort.

Totally agree, in my business we're very dependent on TripAdvisor but in those rare cases of a negative review how we respond to that review sometimes improves our image even more than "another" positive review. People tend to scan down and only look at the negative reviews so as long as we replied professionally we sometime come out looking even better.

As I said in one of the recent threads on RM reviews, when judging whether reviews look suspicious or not I use the following criteria:

  • How long have the reviewers been members? If the reviewers are long- or medium-term RM members then I regard them as legitimate.
  • How many reviews has the reviewer posted?
  • How many different guys has the reviewer reviewed?
  • How many reviews does the escort have and over what period of time?

One tactic to gauge the legitimacy of a review/reviewer is to ask the reviewer for feedback. I've done that and have gotten everything from an essay to a one-word answer. The one-word answer guys usually warm up after some back-and-forth. If they don't reply or reply with very little detail, I question the legitimacy. (Not to them, of course)

In this particular example, I would look at both the positive and negative reviews and apply the criteria above. If the majority of the positive reviews seem legit, I would chalk the one negative review up to a lack of chemistry, an escort who had an off day, an asshole client, or an asshole ex-friend/ex-boyfriend/fellow escort.

I also sometimes think if the guy has pics and he's muscled and supercut in them if he doesn't show up looking exactly like those pics people say it's not him or the pics are outdated. Being photo-ready is difficult to maintain constantly.

I've seen RM reviews like the OP mentions of muscled guys and what I stated above seems to be the only thing that fits... in those particular situations anyway.

But that odd man out review could be someone with just an ax to grind.
