I’ve used the St. Giles Hôtel right in central London by Tottenham Court Road before. Great price, great location and no key card access needed.

If you’re looking for a quickie there are London based websites where you can get nice hotels just for a couple hours.

Byhours.com or dayuse.co.uk are a couple

When are you planning on coming?

A half dozen years ago, my spouse and I were booked into the St. Giles by our travel agent. When we checked in, my spouse looked around in puzzlement, then suddenly realized, "My god! I lived in this building when I first arrived in London in the 1960s. This used to be the London YMCA!" Sure enough, he could still find his way to the swimming pool.

I would be rather surprised if London hotels had any objection to visitors to rooms. London is not like Brazil or Mexico where hotels are quite rightly very security conscious. My favourite London escort (who I visit) tells me he has been to most major hotels in London including the likes of the Savoy.

I stay at the St. Ermins hotel and have not had any issues; no key card access when I was last there. The rooms aren’t huge but I find it a quaint hotel and it gets me Marriott points too ?

At $600 per night, you do like your luxury!

Oh wow! That rate is super high. When I stay there I paid around $350. I had a corporate rate but if you book in advance directly with Marriott you can get similar rates.

For $600 a night I wouldn’t stay there, I’d stay at the Shangri-la (Shard), the mandarin oriental or Browns hotel. I do like my luxury but I only splurge for special occasions ;)

I’ve seen clients at the St Martins Lane hotel. A key card is needed to access the lifts (elevator) but I met my clients in the lobby so it was fine. It’s a very good hotel and well located.

I’ve never had any problems with seeing clients at London hotels (including walking in with my massage table). I know which ones need key card for entry and which entrances to use for more discretion etc. All it takes is some prior agreement with the client about where to meet and a little confidence when entering the building!

The key card for the lift is a relatively recent innovation at St Martins Lane. It was installed while I was there in the middle of last year. I agree that I can’t imagine them having problems meeting guests in the foyer. It’s a great hotel very friendly staff. Diogo the senior concierge is a cutie, but straight.

Looks quite posh; are the rooms decent size?

I use either the hilton metropole (opposite edgeware Rd tube station) or Templeton place aparthotel (earls court - literally 50 metres from Villa Gianni!). Both large rooms and very private... and more importantly low cost but great quality! The other hotels mentioned are scarily expensive for London - I can get 3 nights for the price others are paying for 1 in the hotels i go to and possibly a larger room! I'm a larger guy so always stay in big rooms. The suites at hilton metropole are great and excellent value for money especially as they include access to the executive suite... plus no key needed for the lift so escort comes to room with full discretion

I stayed in a room described as Deluxe which are 33 sq m and are a good size. The more basic rooms are 22 sq m which would be rather small. The place is very expensive but this is London in a perfect location.

I should add this Hotel was designed by Phillipe Starck and is decorated in a “minimalist” style in keeping with his tradition. It is not luxurious in the style of some older London hotels. Reading some comments on TripAdvisor it is not to everyone’s taste. I think it only fair to make this point.

One other hotel where I stayed 6 years ago is One Aldwych also very well located on the corner of Aldwych and the Strand. My room was quite small but served its purpose for a week. It was closed for some time last year for a complete refurbishment in its traditional style and from the photos looks very nice. They have a very nice bar area. Even when I haven’t stayed there I always have a drink there after the opera as it’s only a few minutes walk down the hill from Covent Garden. The staff are very friendly and always remember me. I would stay in a larger room but be prepared to pay accordingly.

Nice to know. The hotel has been recommended to me by a London based escort that I have been with several times on his visits to Canada.

I’ve visited clients at lots of London hotels. Never had any problems. Visitors are allowed and I’d always recommend meeting your masseur or escort in the lobby anyway (in case of any issues with him). A good provider will be ok with this. A good provider will also either know how to reach your room without using key card lifts or will know how to avoid attracting attention while in the lobby.

On lots of occasions I’ve been carrying my massage table through the reception area. I’m discreet and well dressed etc so that helps avoid any unwarranted attention but hotels simply don’t mind.

If you’re visiting London the most important thing is find a hotel in the right location, and make sure the room is big enough for you. Discreet shouldn’t be a criteria; they’re all discreet.

I've stayed at most of the respectable London hotels ( 4-5 star) from fabulous to downright sad. . Sadly I can't really afford to stay at the ones I truly like unless someone else is paying 😆

That said all of the London hotels have  its  own  plusses and minuses. I've found most to be small, built on old infrastructure, often dated from a certain period and if its a great location you desire,  expect to pay.  And you get what you pay for.    I would base your decision on where you want to be primarily - the rest follows.

Personally I try to rent a service apartment these days - because I'm there so often, and it feels less like a hotel, more of a home.

All London hotels are discreet as @Jamie21 says  - no one cares really - they have seen it all.

I would adhere to the following

- Meet who ever you are hiring in the lobby. I have suggested that we meet at the lobby bar, but most I have found just want to meet you and get it over with . I personally like meeting at the lobby bar so its a natural encounter.

- I would use the opportunity to meet in the lobby to verify that the pictures and guy match, that its something you want to go along with. If you want to bail - the lobby meet would be the time.

- Also if its an outcall, I would confirm that you're not on the hook for transport to /from, and if you are this should be discussed prior.. The guys who are working probably live past zone 1-2, in the outskirts . Often this comes up 1-2 hours prior.

- If they are coming expect them to be 30-45 minutes late.  None of my London outcall hires have ever been on time. Ever.

- Also confirm you are getting the outcall rate, which tends to be higher.

Enjoy -

Great advice. Totally agree. Remember London is an old city, some hotels are in properties that weren’t built to be a hotel, which in my view makes them even more interesting. I’ve visited a client in a hotel that used to be a court house…

Yes your provider may be delayed…travel in London isn’t simple. I build in spare time to my travel just in case, and this is part of the reason why out call rates are higher.
