Ranking of Titles

What is the order of the titles by which members are ranked? And what takes to move up from one to the next? Thank you, Harry

10-24 Novice

25-49 Apprentice

50-99 Journeyman

100-249 Master

250-499 Knight

500-749 Lord

750-999 Baron

1000-1999 Viscount

2000-2999 Count

3000-3999 Earl

4000-4999 Marquess

5000-5999 Duke

6000-7499 Peer

7500-9999 Prince

10000+ Regent

I have 298 messages, 295 ratings and 63 points. My ranking is Knight 250-499, so what is counted for the ranking?

I believe it is just the number of messages (i.e. postings). Don't know whether that includes private messages or not ... willing to say, @Guy Fawkes ?

I've noticed my message count doesn't change when I send private messages, and that my status changed when the message total ticked over a relevant number. From that I'd say private messages aren't counted.

How are the points earned? Do they count for the ranking?

It’s all kinda mysterious. But sleuthing around -

 

If you log in and go to your “Profile” there is a page that shows

(date) Joined / Messages / Ratings / Points

 

Digging out my calculator it appears that “Points” are directly related to “Trophies” which is listed further down that same page.

 

“Trophies” are awarded on various things like

Number of Messages posted

Number of “Likes” you have received

A big “Trophy” is awarded for donations towards forum support

 

Also, if you click the “Terms and Rules” at the bottom of the page it will take you to a page that further describes how Trophies are awarded.

I can only speak to how MY title was acquired. You may want to ask others with unique titles how they came to be!

One distinguishes one's self to such an extent that it rises to the attention of the admins. It sometimes isn't flattering.
