LAST EDITED ON Jul-03-00 AT 12:52PM (EST)[p]Following yesterday's review of the guys from Havana, I was wondering if anyone has any more information on Cuba, such as hotels, and of course places to pick up guys. I'm thinking of spending a week or so there later this year, any help is much appreciated

you DON'T want to stay in a hotel...rent a casa particular (private apartment or house) price ranges from 20-35 per night. There are 2 basic places to meet guys, in front of the cine Yara on linea 10 (la rampa) and in front of the Cafe Fiat on the Malecon. Best to start around 9pm in front of the Yara and move on down to the Malecon...it's a great place.Contact Carlos at cplservic@HotPOP.com for info on renting a place...tell him that you want a private place and why...also he'll have someone meet you at the airport at no extra cost...only 15 for the taxi and a tip for the guy that meets you...have fun!

Hi There -

You will need to travel through a third country such as Canada, Mexico or the Bahamas. It is not illegal to visit Cuba, it IS illegal to help the Cuban economy, such as renting hotels, cars, eating in restaurants, etc.

You will need a passport to enter Cuba, but the customs agents in Cuba are cool about not stamping a US citizens passport. In fact, all Cubans are cool about not causing troubles for American citizens....we are usually held in good esteem unless we do something stupid. Also, while those places named in an earlier post may be the best places to meet men, do not be surprised should you have opportunities just about anywhere that you go. Just be safe and have fun!!

Also, check out TravelChannel.com. They have a large section devoted to Americans visiting Cuba. Out and About, the gay travel magazine, also has one issue devoted to Cuba and you can reorder it from them.
