I've never written to a website before. I represent a group of Gaiety regulars who go only to watch the show. I have read much about Kirk/Voltaire's poor job as an escort on this site. All of the stuff written on Kirk's poor performance in a private show doesn't alter the simple truth that he remains one of the most exciting dancers to ever appear at the Gaiety. His larger-than-life, bitch-diva, narcissistic persona (and boomin' butt) are sorely missed by the Gaiety regulars. Denise, please bring back Kirk.

Oops! Is this a highjacked thread in the making?

Perhaps we should restrict it to memoires de Kirk perdu--

But now that you mention it--

Do you (or anyone) remember a young, VERY handsome body builder pre-med student named Chris from Westchester (or the 914 region at least), who, long before a few appearances at the Gaiety in the mid-nineties, was one of the premiere ornaments of fabled Rounds? He was simply amazing--

and now back to our regularly scheduled programming! Any funny (as opposed to angry) Kirk stories, anyone?

No further stories about Kirk ... my crew and I will be in attendance this afternoon. But if this is this easy, perhaps I should also ask for the return of Brooklyn Joey to the Gaiety? One of the finest to ever cross the stage. Remember him, Kids? I'd like to know where he is now.

As my friends and I were leaving the Gaiety, I asked Deniese, "Where's Kirk?" "You tell me where's Kirk," she replied with a laugh and a smile, "He danced two shows last (friday) night and I haven't seen him since." Poor Gaiety patrons. No boomin' butt. No bitch-diva attitude. Now I guess Kirk will fade into Gaiety lore, like so many others. And we were going to give him a standing ovation for his return.

She smiles! Damn, I missed it. Did anyone take a picture???

Denise smiles all the time. Try smiling at her, at least once a week -- for six or seven years. She is quite nice (and an astute businesswoman). I'm sure you'll get a smile.
