Mainstream Actors Escorting

Of course nobody who already "made it" is escorting unless they've washed out and need the money. But I'm sure plenty did on their way up.

You can also ask about those who went in the opposite direction... They HAD careers in showbiz, then 'transitioned'. The only one who springs to mind is Steve Marks, who went from weatherman in Chicago to porn star. Don't know if he ever escorted.

Or, of course, this guy, who only did one straight porn video and never escorted to my knowledge:

In the year 2000 at least one escort agency in New York City was a specialist in handsome male models. Unfortunately the agency was called WAM, or something like WAM.

The agency had to work around the young men's schedules . I remember a repeat scheduled meeting with a model. He called me at my hotel and said that "exhausted from just getting in from Amsterdam. If you want to cancel it is ok." I did cancel. Nice guy

Michael Lucas frequently returned to escorting and advertised on RentBoy when he was already a multi-Millionaire. In his Auditions videos he frequently discusses how much he enjoyed escorting. I realize he's a PORN star and we are talking about Mainstream actors. I'm simply saying it's not unthinkable.

I live in North Orange County and for about two years I had a regular who had a recurring part on a Soap Opera. He preferred to drive to my place where I cooked dinner. He didn't want to be seen in a restaurant on the West Side of Los Angeles with someone my age for fear of being recognized. Damn, he was fun but eventually he found a partner, settled down, and stopped escorting.

I am guessing these are still myths?

I also wonder with how entertainment media has shifted over the years, if there would be 'mainstream' actors that would not mind the occasional paid transaction here and there.

I think you need a second job. ??. Digging up 20 year olds threads? I’m worrying about you.

I believe Brad Pitt attended Mizzou.

Not remembering that he graduated.

based on a very reliable source, wikipedia, looks like he was 2 weeks short -

Pitt attended Kickapoo High School, where he was a member of the golf, swimming and tennis teams.[10] He participated in the school's Key and Forensicsclubs, in school debates, and in musicals.[11] Following his graduation from high school, Pitt enrolled in the University of Missouri in 1982, majoring in journalism with a focus on advertising.[12] As graduation approached, Pitt did not feel ready to settle down. He loved films—"a portal into different worlds for me"—and, since films were not made in Missouri, he decided to go to where they were made.[13][14] Two weeks short of completing the coursework for a degree, Pitt left the university and moved to Los Angeles, where he took acting lessons and worked odd jobs.[13] He has named Gary Oldman, Sean Penn, and Mickey Rourke as his early acting heroes.[15]

Something tells me Brad wasn't really two weeks short of completing his degree. It makes zero sense to leave when you're THAT close. Either he was failing a required class or three, or he had withdrawn at the start of the semester and taken the tuition refund for party money while he hung out at the frat house.

As someone who lives in New York City, and who frequently hires young men to enjoy an evening with, I can answer in the affirmative that there are "mainstream" (meaning non-porn) actors who make extra money. I offer two first-hand experiences:

1. I hired a young man over and over for about four months while he was in a big name acting school here in the city and, for about the last month of our relationship, he was acting in an off-Broadway show (a small part).

2. When I started using a service at one point, the agent asked me whether I was in the entertainment business, because two of his young men were actor/model professionals who could not risk bumping into a past or future colleague.

I have also "dated" dancers, musicians, cover models, and even a film director. To me, that's one of the thrills of buying time in the Big Apple. I love seducing a man in the arts, at least partly because there's the fantasy that someday he may get more than 15 minutes of fame.

Oh wow 😶

I have hired several escorts who are actors.  Many here will recall Alec Andrews was a working, well at time working, actor.  I am still in contact with a former escort who was an actor and even starred in a few very low B films.  He is now on a documentary which is on the air and he is playing a Boy Scout Leader accused of molesting his troops.  Another escort who is still active is a working actor who I have seen on TV several times.  He also works awards shows and show biz Hall of Fame inductions in the hospitality section.  As a result, he has dated several recognizably famous actresses as well as being hired by a very popular female singer.
