You probably mean the BEEKMAN hotel on the corner of First Avenue and Mitchell Place, just around the corner from Beekman Place itself (just tell your friends it's on 49th street and they'll figure it out)--I don't know of any "Bookman Hotel".

 

If the "controversial" Sean is still in the residence I remember (with or without security camera in the elevator) he is a mere two block stroll away, and of course the Gaiety is straight across town on 46th and Broadway: the scenic route will take you past Saint Bart's, Saint Patrick's, Le Cirque Restaurant, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Rockefeller Center (you can wave hello to Katie and Matt as you pass--and, by the bye, until his recent marriage, the hunky Matt was occasionally seen in the Starbucks on First and Fifty-fourth).

 

For in calls chez vous, I believe any determined career boy will find The Beekman as easy to reach as any other part of Manhattan.
