Many of the guys I follow on IG seemed to be in Dubai now/recently so that prompted me. I didn't know if this was the "season" to visit or if there was some sort of OnlyFans/porn actor convention. They all had glamorous shots from the word's highest pool, luxury hotels, etc. but nobody was mentioning why they were there, naturally. I'm probably leaning towards not going until I've got a travel buddy who knows the drill there or a verified host. Part of the lure is the danger but I'm not stupid.

Hey Ben, Thank you very much for that thorough answer. I really appreciate it and it's exactly what I wanted to hear from someone who's done it. I was considering it as a stop on a world tour I'm doing beginning in Buenos Aires in November. I was just interested in seeing Dubai (& middle east in general). I was targeting Tel Aviv for August '22 after spending the summer in Budapest, Prague then working my way down Italy's coast to the middle east. It's all very much going where the wind will take me with some definite planned longer stays. Thanks again!
