  1. That's good to know! Thank you. I often open a conversation with 'Hi there' as a casual salutation. I didn't realize it might come across poorly - I hope you weren't one of the recipients of my opening. Uh, wait, that doesn't sound right...
  2. After being dropped Mike is sore and needs a massage.
  3. My early memories of Oprah include her very public struggle with weight, culminating pulling out a wagon holding 67 pounds of animal fat onto her show to represent the weight she had lost. And I think she was awesome as Sofia in the 1985 film, The Color Purple. But over time she seemed to become quite self-important as her influence rose. Talking over guests on her show and lecturing everyone about what they should eat to what they should believe. I'm glad she gives to charity, but in my opinion, the fact that she is still a billionaire means she hasn't given enough. Giving away 20% of your worth as a billionaire, or even centimillionare, still leaves you extremely wealthy and privileged, and it's nothing to brag about. The average worker who gives 5% is making a much bigger sacrifice, relatively speaking, and won't get millions of dollars returned to them in tax incentives for their charity.
  4. I miss Vin's posts on the forum. He's always shown a great deal of kindness here. Hope he is doing well.
  5. No, no. They're probably familiar because I once accidentally posted one of my selfies in the forum. So embarrassing. 🤣
  6. Rowling has opinions and she's vilified because some of those opinions don't support the present zeitgeist. I didn't see anything in the article that suggests she is taking a soft-line approach to Nazi atrocities. Rather, she is questioning whether trans people were the first targets of the Nazi regime, and whether or not all of the research was destroyed. There is nothing wrong with questioning a source - anyone who is a critical thinker should be questioning the source of the information that is being put out there, especially in this age when anyone can post anything as fact with little to no consequence. The days are long gone when spreading misleading information was considered bad form and inappropriate. Today we seem preoccupied with how information makes us feel, not whether it is accurate or not.
  7. Oh yes, the Ford Tempo. The smaller, less expensive version of the beautiful Mercury Sable... lol
  8. I'm assuming Norway has a number of Fjord Escorts as well.
  9. I know... just my bad sense of humor showing through!
  10. I've been to Barcelona twice - both times in April/early May, and it was in the mid 70s most days. Still pleasant enough to walk around exploring that beautiful city.
  11. Maybe the Balkans? Slovenia, Croatia, , Bosnia, Montenegro... I think mid-September is harvest season and wine-making time. Weather should still be warm and without the holiday crowds
  12. So you're saying you need to find someone with more girth?
  13. Just waiting for the film crew to come along. Every whale just wants their 15 minutes of fame.
  14. I think the lion may be checking if the guy is ready to eat
  15. I think @Charlie specified 'glass panel' not 'stall panel'. 😆
  16. Canada: where even our hunters don't carry guns 🤣
  17. They tried to make Amy Winehouse go to him, but she said no, no, no.
  18. It really depends on where you happen to dig. Given the tectonic activity of the Bay Area, there's quite a bit of diversity in the composition of rock formations in the peninsula - with varying degrees of hardness exhibited across the range.
  19. Are you sure he's driving? At that rate maybe he couriers himself to you?
  20. It amazes me that there are such specialized niches in plastic surgery. Nipple reductions and sculpting? Well, I'm happy with all three of mine just as they are.
